Dr. Michael Barbara, DO

He is the most compassionate human being I know. He is more than willing to help you in any way he can. He actually -listens- to what you say to him- and will respond with the truth. The best thing about him---he has a sense of humor. You do not feel like you are "going to the doctor." More like you are visiting a caring friend!!!!!!!

Competent and caring

I met Dr. Barbara in the clinic seeking emergency care, and cannot remember of know of a more professional, compassionate, caring and attentive individual. He made my stressful experience one I will remember for the rest of my life. What a great Dr. and Man.

On a first visit as a new mid-40's male patient; I never had my heart checked, no EKG, no eyes/ears/nose/throat check, no lung function listening, no prostate exam, no hernia check, no lymph node check, no fecal occult blood check, etc. Essentially, all this visit included was a verbal checklist (asked once by the nurse and again in its entirety by the doctor, but no items followed up on me physically). I've never before had a first-ever yearly physical with ANY physician where I kept all my clothes completely on, and never was actually examined for ANYTHING. Yet the office later billed me for $75 OVER my usually generous health plan's "usual and customary" charges. No value for your money here folks, and ZERO preventative medicine. Oh, but he did spend ten minutes trying to sell me some off-brand "special vitamin regimen" only available through his office for only $35 a month. Find a different doctor who actually takes the time to examine you directly; no first-hand physician… examination/observation means no discovery of any potential health concerns you might not even know about.

I was sent to Dr. Barbara a few years ago by my family doctor to get a second opinion. I couldn't believe his thoroughness and caring at my visit. He referred me to a surgeon and followed my progress through surgery. I have since taken my husband and elderly father to him and am always thankful for his care and concern.I would recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Barbara is kind, patient, and knows what hes doing. :)

Dr. Barbara has been caring for my father for a number of years now. My father has some very serious medical conditions and Dr. Barbara has always been informative and understanding of the medical and personal issues as a result of his illness. I am very happy with the care he has provided my father and would highly recommend him to anyone.
