Perhaps he's fine with typical GI issues, I don't know, I don't have any, which the endoscopy he did confirmed. I have been on a Proton Pump Inhibitor for many years, but to protect from ulcers due to NSAID use, which I haven't used for many years. Thankfully, I found a caring doctor, who helped me apply for Compassionate Use from the FDA of an investigational drug from the UK. It's taken 8 months, but I'm finally getting it. And all my other doctors are in 100% support, the research is solid, and the drug already has Orphan Drug status to treat gNETS.

As somebody who has met with their fair share of doctors, I can truly say that Dr. Bass is one of, if not the best doctor I've had the pleasure of meeting. He is extremely thorough and went over all my previous blood tests during our first appointment, and talked about my overall health rather than just the one system he treats. Based on my symptoms he wanted to do one procedure and because I opted to do it without anesthesia, Dr. Bass made sure to be extremely precautious and was consistently asking me if I was OK and not in pain. After the procedure, Dr. Bass took the time to answer any questions I had and he assured me of his findings without just running off immediately. Overall I felt I received excellent care and that Dr. Bass went above and beyond; something that is rare to find today in the medical field. Thank you, Dr. Bass!
