Dr. Michael Blea, MD

Michael Blea, M.D., F.A.C.S, is a general surgeon specializing in advanced GI & minimally invasive surgery.  In addition to general surgery his specific clinical interests include minimally invasive, robotic assisted benign foregut surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction (hernia repair). Dr. Blea earned his Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology & Biomedical Engineering and his medical degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts. He completed his general surgery residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.  He is fellowship trained in Advanced Gastrointestinal surgery & Minimally Invasive Surgery from Saint Francis Hospital (Hartford, CT). He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons and the American Hernia Society.
