Worst doctor experience ever and I was a long time patient of his. Can't imagine how he treats new patients. . Doctor is chronically late and staff is surly. Waited 6 weeks for an appointment and arrived to find the doctor running 45 minutes late. Had 3:00 appointment and receptionist let people with 3:30 and 4:00 appointments go before me and only gave me the explanation of "your time slot was up" -yeah because he is 45 minutes late and I have been waiting in the office the entire time. After WAITING FOR 2 HOURS the receptionist had the gall to tell me the doctor was done for the day and not seeing anymore patients, would I like to re-schedule. It was like getting bumped off an airline.Was really sick so put in a call to the Dr's service to call me and no call back. This doctor and his staff don't care about patients at all. Too many good doctors in NYC to go to someone like this.

Found the office staff, especially Rebecca, difficult and argumentative. I was scheduling a routine colonoscopy and was told that Dr Blechmann requires full anesthesia with popofono for a colonoscopy. I found this unnecessary. It is also not covered by insurance and adds out of pocket expenses to the facility cost and the use of an anesthesiologist. Rebecca told me that I was ill informed about wanting any other sedation and told me full anesthesia was required and best for me. When I disagreed, and pointed out the increase of costs in unnessecary anesthesia, she told me I was "insulting" and uniformed. I cancelled my appointment.
