Dr. Bourque attended Holy Cross College, where he received his undergraduate degree in 1973. He earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut Medical School in 1977, then completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Bourque is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the American Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy.

Nothing but a 5 plus rating all around..if I could shout it out to the world I would..if only other doctors were like Michael Bourque what a great world it would be..it would mean that doctors really cared about their patients and that they were gentle and kind. He is the best in every way!

Professional yet friendly! Always listens and offers a solution or suggestion. I like that he doesn't say "that isn't my area" like most doctors today. His follow up is very prompt and he is though.

Dr. Bourque is super doc! He is extremely busy and does run late because he gives personal attention to each patient. I give him a gift every year because of all the time he spends with me in the office and on the phone. He truly cares about his patients!

Dr. Bourque is the best. When I was half way through my pregnancy, I moved from an OB/GYN office in South Windsor to his Hartford office (just so happened that my sister worked in the office as well). Dr. Bourque was one of the doctors (there are several within the practice) that I saw with the rotating schedule they impose on those patients who are pregnant (so it is more likely that when you deliver, you will see a doctor that you know....In any event, any experience I've had with Dr. Bourque has been fantastic. He doesn't make me feel uncomfortable AT ALL! He's very professional and knows the answers to all of my questions, immediately! He makes you feel like you can talk to him about anything. He doesn't rush your visit no matter what.If I could go back in time, I would have made sure to move to his offices before I got pregnant!!!
