Dr Bousamra is the best! Knowledgeable but also kind and considerate. Would highly recommend him.

There are many skillful cardiothoracic surgeons. Don’t settle for less with Bousamra. You deserve better; see someone else.

Dr. Michael Bousamra II is a modern day Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde might not reveal himself to every patient, but he revealed himself to me. I deeply regret allowing this man to operate on me. Before the operation, Dr. Jekyll appeared to me as a professional whom I could trust. After the surgery, Mr. Hyde’s true character was exposed as his personality completely changed to someone who was mean, heartless, and cruel. My life has never been the same since the day of my operation. Suicide has entered my mind more than once over the years. Please learn from my mistake and look elsewhere to have surgery.

I was totally blessed to have found such a skilled surgeon in the area!! I was facing lung cancer to what extent we did not know so I had 2 nurse anesthesiologist in the family and 1 anesthesiologist and was scared to death what to do! He came highly recommended by my family of medical. I would not wish for anyone to get cancer and have a lobectomy like I did but he did an excellent job and was very skilled! He has stuck with me and did follow ups every step of this journey! I also quit smoking before the surgery because he had said if you smoke the day before the surgery do not show up! I thought I want my family and I need a great surgeon so I quit and learned to love myself again! There is not enough good I could say about him and if anyone is facing a lobectomy just get in touch and I will help you to answer any and all questions from a patient's point of few! Thanks Dr Bousamra/ Your skilled hands saved my life!

Dr. Bousamra performed a lower left lobectomy on me. I was very impressed with the outcome. My recovery was much quicker than I expected. It was easy to see that he took a personal interest in me and my well being. Simply put just a great surgeon and super nice guy. I would highly recommended him to anyone. This dr is our hero! My dad had lung cancer and Dr. Bousamra removed the top right lobe and it was everywhere . Dr. Bousamra got every bit of it!!!! His dad and his brother both died from lung cancer so this is like a miracle for us!!!!!!!! There is no way I could ever repay him enough for saving my dads life!!!! I want him to be recognized for what he done! Dr. Bousamra me and my family will forever be grateful for you?????? My dad is cancer free because of Dr. Bousamra!!

I am very pleased that Dr. Hardin referred me to Dr. Bousamra. He is patient, kind, informative, gives the good points of a procedure and the bad points and lets you decide to do surgery. He is very collaborative with this patient and I appreciate that greatly.

Dr. Bousamra is the MOST arrogant doctor I have ever encountered. Good luck getting him to speak to your family personally after surgery. He said he forgot because he was needed elsewhere and left us sitting for over 5 hours (post surgery) worrying for our family member's well-being. Once we tracked him down, we were told we would have to wait another two hours until he finished seeing other patients back at his office. As if that were not enough, during our post-op visit he informs us that the assisting doctor doing his fellowship said the he did not think the margin of the lung cancer removed was clean, but Dr. Bousamara said "it was good enough". If that is not arrogance, nothing is. His professionalism is totally lacking and his stories about a "man needing what a man needs" were disgusting and degrading. Trust me, you can get better care by ANY other surgeon. To think he is the head of a department!!! PATHETIC!!

Had a spontaneous phneumothorax (collapsed lung). Doc did a great job inserting tube in my chest. (no pain) It healed great and he followed up wonderfully. He always stayed as long as it took to answer all my questions and treated me like a normal person, not a patient he looked down upon. You would think your the only patient he has to see for the day while he's with you.
