Dr. Michael T Bowersox, MD

Dr. Bowersox has cared for my 92 year old not-always easy-going Mom for the past 1 1/2 years or so in 2 assisted living facilities where he visits her for her check ups. I actually met him in person for the first time today but we have communicated through phone, email and text I have no idea how many times...AND he always gets back to me...I often email or text at odd hours when I get a chance and don't expect a response until normal business hours but he gets back to me quicker than my son does regardless of day or hour. And he "delivers" his care. If you have any family member who needs a doctor who will go to them, call him! Tina P

Dr. Bowersox was my primary care physician for 16 years until he went into private/specialty practice. He took the time to get to know me, my needs and treat the whole person, not just the symptom. Dr. Bowersox always made eye contact and listened intently and at the end of each visit reviewed his notes to confirm we covered all my concerns. I was disappointed to lose him as my doctor, but was happy to hear (and not at all surprised) the direction his practice took.

I have had Dr Bowersox as my Primary care physician for approximately 15 years. He is thorough, And He has ALWAYS TAKEN AS MUCH TIME AS I NEEDED TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS! Absolutely the best bedside manner possible. No Matter what I am in to see him for, He has never failed to ask me "Do you have any other concerns?" and will take all the time needed to address them if I have any. HE HAS ALREADY SAVED MY LIFE ONCE, by noticing a problem with a cyst on my kidney, that it was concerning and possibly cancerous. It was and it was caught early thanks to him. Could not possibly be a better doctor.

Not the best choice if you need to see a doctor regularly or don't have EXCELLENT insurance. Scripps Clinic is expensive and they constantly send you to Urgent Care because the doctor is never available. Urgent Care isn't cheap, at least $200 per visit. Bowersox is about $300 for one visit per year. He is a good doctor if you can get in to see him and you can afford him.
