Ultimate care to father

Dr. Boyd was excellent my mother when he first found out that she was in stage four lung cancer. He was very compassionate when he told my sister, my husband and I about what he had found and he was very encouraging to our family for what we were facing with mom. He tried all that he could to help her, but the cancer was just too advanced. I would recommend Dr. Boyd to anyone with any lung condition as I know that he would do his best for you just as he did for my mother.

I have been diagnosed with COPD. My lung function is down to 26, and I recently had to move from NC to VA to be near family so I could have help with homework and driving to dr. appointments. My primary physician made me an appointment with Dr. Boyd since he is the only pulmonologist in town. Two emergency physicians tried to have my appointment moved up to no avail. I had to wait over two months to get in. I showed up on the day of my appointment to be told the doctor took the day off and I would be rescheduled. I was rescheduled---78 days later!!!! I didn't take the day off---he did---but I suffer. I suggest you make your appointment out of town if you have a serious lung condition. I will be making the trips back to NC for my appointments. So disappointed in this doctor!!!
