Dr. Michael Brien Brown, DO

This doctor, like so many other’s, can be counted on to work with the police against targeted patients. As Orwellian as it may sound, these physicians and other health care providers will absolutely damage or kill you if they are told to do it. It is not outside of the realm of possibility to actually have actual prescriptions tainted in order to accomplish this. This was my experience with Dr. Brown. The medical community has been taken over by law enforcement, which has made the Hippocratic oath a joke for the health care providers who participate. You are definitely not safe with Dr. Brown.

I've been a patient of Dr. Brown's for 5 years and I find him to be courteous, compassionate and caring. He takes time to listen to and thoroughly answer all of my questions. If I want more information on a treatment he suggests or one of my chronic pain conditions, he provides additional resources for me to research and is willing to discuss any information I find on my own. I believe that Dr. Brown and I are partners in my care, and he always takes into consideration my concerns, thoughts, and.healthcare needs when he suggests changes in my care or procedures designed to improve my pain level.

Michael B. Brown, DO is an anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist in Fort Collins/Loveland, CO. My mother has been a patient of his for the past 3+ years. Most commonly, I wouldnâ??t write a review of a physician, but feel compelled to do so based upon the previous review on this site. Our experience with Dr. Brown has been the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the October 12, 2016 posting. Dr. Brown has been the most compassionate physician weâ??ve ever relied upon for care. On more than one occasion, he has responded to phone calls over the weekend, while on vacation, when ill himself and at night. And, the response time has always been within a matter of minutes. His caring manner with my mother, and myself, has always been appreciated. She is receiving care for chronic back pain as the result of injury and previous spinal fusion years ago. He has tried numerous injection techniques and neuro stimulation. With each of these techniques, Dr. Brown took the time to explain the… procedure and projected outcomes â?? he even provided manufacturer literature which gave a more technical overview of what to expect. Finally, she had an intrathecal pain pump inserted in March of this year, 2016. Again, the procedure and benefits were fully explained to us. She has been seen in his office approximately once a month since March for the adjustment of medication dosage. Under Dr. Brownâ??s care, she is experiencing some relief of this crippling pain. No other physician has been able to achieve this result. This July, she developed a compression fracture of a thoracic vertebrae due to osteoporosis. Dr. Brown met us at the emergency room and worked together with the ED physician to diagnose the condition. Within a weekâ??s time, he had her in his office surgical suite and repaired the fracture. Dr. Brownâ??s expertise, bedside manner, and professionalism is far superior to any other physician weâ??ve ever been patients of. These qualities are not only exhibited in Dr. Brown, but also in all of the staff that he and his medical partners employ. We highly recommend Dr. Brown without any reservation.

I moved to Fort Collins this summer and my new primary care doctor recommended Dr. Brown for my pain care. When I went in for my initial appointment, Dr. Brown's bedside manner left much to be desired. He didn't ask questions, try to get to know my situation or anything. He told me he wanted to put in a stimulator into my epidural space and that I couldn't have anymore babies. I told him my husband and I weren't certain we were done yet and he told me that the two (children) I had were enough and that we could always adopt from Utah, it's cheaper there. He didn't allow for me to ask any questions, just sent me on my way without any additional appointments, just a referral for a psychologist for a consult before the procedure could be done. I left the office totally confused and had to research this stimulator on my own to figure out what it was, what it did and what the process for implanting it would be. None of this information was given to me, even when asked, during my… appointment. They said after they received the results from the consult they would get insurance approval and contact me to schedule the procedure. I have had 9 surgeries in the past 3 years and have two young children at home. I am not necessarily sure I want to undergo another surgery unless it's necessary and feel that Dr. Brown didn't take enough time with me to discuss my options with me. I still do not know what I am going to do as I would like to do something to help manage my pain better but don't feel like he wanted to help me with my pain as much as getting another surgery on the books. He was rude, arrogant and told me how to plan my family, which I do not appreciate. I have read/heard similar things about him around town and other reviews. I'm told my other doctors that he is a good doctor but has a poor bedside manner and that is just the way medicine is these days. Very disappointing. Especially for a doctor who specializes in treating those who suffer with chronic pain. You would think a little compassion and a personality would be helpful.
