I couldn't have asked for a better doctor or medical team during what was a very stressful time with multiple surgeries. Dr. Buckmire and his team were always there to answer the questions I had and make me feel comfortable through the process. Everyone was always kind, patient and caring. I highly recommend him and his team if you need a good health care provider.

Dr Buckmire has done my colonoscopies for the past several years & recently was my surgeon for a colon resection. He has done an excellent job in all procedures, & has a great bedside manner. He takes time to explain things thoroughly & answers all my questions.

Dr. Buckmire is the consumate professional and an amazing doctor. Several years ago he operated on my son when he needed to have an iliostomy procedure. The procedure litterally changed my son's life from one of constant pain to now enjoying all that life has to offer. Based on our experience from my son's procedure I reached out when I needed a hemorrhoidectomy. After years of suffering myself, I scheduled an appointment. From the very first appointment to 5 weeks post-op where I was released for needing follow-up care, Dr Buckmire was quick to reply to issues, and has an incredible bedside manner. The hemorrhoidectomy recovery is the most painful experience Ive ever gone through. At no time did I ever feel I was bothering him with my calls or feel put off by him. He or one of his team members were quick to reply, offering guidance and helping me get through it. I am proufoundly happy we picked Dr Buckmire as my surgeon (and my son's). I highly recommend Dr. Buckmire if you… need colorectal surgery.

Dr. Buckmire has performed surgery on me twice. The first was emergency surgery for a colostomy due to severe diverticulitis. The second surgery was to reverse the colostomy. I had no problems either time. Dr. Buckmire is very thorough and explains everything in minute detail. He is very kind, considerate, caring and always takes as much time as needed at an appointment. I would recommend him as highly as possible to anyone who needs a colorectal specialist. He and his entire staff in the office are top notch. I am very grateful to him and everyone in his office.

I am a breast cancer survivor and have been to 40-50 different doctors in the last five years for every procedure you can imagine. Dr. Buckmire was so kind and considerate, explained everything and seemed very caring. I had some complications after my colon resection which were no fault of his and know that I was a very difficult patient at that time. I would certainly suggest him to anyone I know and wish that he were a GP so he could treat more of my problems. Have to thank him and also his PA who would come and check on me every day. My son was referred to Dr. Buckmire with a fairly large mass in his colon. Dr. Buckmire was excellent in communicating the facts and what to expect prior to during and after the surgery. His medical and administrative staff was also very professional which allowed him to spend the maximum time possible focusing on his patients. My son was one of the youngest colon cancer patients. Dr. Buckmire was diligent in making surgical and medical decisions that would impact my son’s life and overall health and wellness short and long term. He and his phenomenal medical crew performed a complicated surgery for long hours. Dr. Buckmire is a gifted surgeon who surrounds himself with the best medical professional. My son felt well in just few days after the surgery, had bowl movement and was discharged from the hospital. Luckily, my son had a stage I colon cancer and the procedure performed by Dr. Buckmire’s was all he needed to heal and go on with his life. We’re deeply grateful to Dr. Buckmire… and his crew. We’ve so blessed to be referred to him. He’s a gifted surgeon and a good person!

There are not enough kind words in the dictionary to describe Dr. Buckmire. He kept me informed every step of the way with my surgeries, even though I wound up having to have a colostomy, he was right there with the answers to my questions. I had a very speedy recover and I believe that it had to do with his remarkable surgical skills, no pain to speak of and I knew exactly what I was going to experience because he explained it all to me before hand. I would highly recommend Dr. Buckmire to any one who needs his special skills. I was treated with respect and dignity, and I will always be eternally grateful to him and his amazing staff!

When you are unexpectedly thrown into a medical whirlwind at a hospital it can be a blur of doctors and practitioners. Even 5 years later I remember Dr. Buckmire. He was amazing to my mother who was frightened and overwhelmed. Although she ended up losing her battle, he had such sincere bedside manner and would check on her often, even late at night after his other surgeries. I will never forget what he did for her. At the end of the day he is a good person who is also a skilled surgeon.

very pleasent just would not perform hemrroid surgery on me. went to stephen brown and feeling much better now that my hemrroids have been removed
