Dr. Michael Kevin Butts, MD

Our Grandson was running a fever of 102. You could just tell by his eyes that he wasn't feeling well. Dr. Butts gave a diagnosis of an outer ear infection and stated the obvious of our Grandson's 9 years that he had Eczema and gave steroid cremes for him to apply. The next day after that visit, he had a temperature of 105 and was severely dehydrated. Was brought down to the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. The 4 days he was there, he had round the clock skin treatments, constant fluids, and was diagnosed with 2 different strains of infection. I wouldn't bring my chicken for Medical treatment to this Doctor, nor would I go to or bring anyone to the St. Cloud Hospital. St. Cloud Hospital is nothing but a poor quality, walk in clinic. Basing my opinion from 3 separate experiences with them.

I have a neurological condition that causes severe migraines that can only be relieved with strong pain meds. On this particular day I had collapsed and had a seizure at my primary clinic which forced them to have me transported to the ER for further evaluation. I wad unfortunately assigned to dr Butts! He had no care or compassion for the pain I was in and my husband had to go ask the nurse half hour later if there was something I could get for the pain I was in. It took another 25 minutes before someone came in with some meds. Dr Butts not one time came to check how I was feeling, ask if my pain level was down, nothing! He left without even as much as saying goodbye his shift was done. I felt so unwanted like I was just another annoying patient and this is the reason why I absolutely hate going to the ER but I had no choice this time, my primary doctor had arranged for Emt's to bring me in. I hope nobody else has to deal with this egotistical man, he does not care about his… patients at all.

My sister passed out,falling backwards and hit her head on the toilet in the bathroom, so hard, that it caused to toilet to jar loose. She was taken in by ambulance and unfortunately, assigned to Dr. Butts. I am her sister and have been an RN 30+ years. I was in the room when he came in to tell her she was fine and could go home. I asked if he had done a scan of her head. He scoffed and said there was no need, as she didn't have a headache! I asked if he had any concern of her having a concussion. He said'any time you bump your head it is considered a concussion'...then he said 'I have been doing this for 25 years'...well, good for him, but he is a joke. Needless to say, she had a CT scan of her head before we left the hospital.

I have a rare disease. I don't expect doctors to understand my disease. Dr. Butts made me feel like a drug addict and did not treat me with dignity. This disease is terminal and all I ask is compassion and didnitu from a doctor. The doctors that can just ask what they can do to help are the professionals. Dr Butts does not make that list in my opinion.

Did not listen to what I was telling him, he assumed instead. Assumed I was on drugs. I got billed for a drug test which of course was not why I was there. Asked me if I had anxiety issues (again not an issue for me) and was very snarky. If you get stuck with this one, request someone else. You have the right to be treated with respect.

This dude like totally helped me good.I hope he treats me again if I act stupid. Cuz like I do dumb stuff.THANKS DR. BUTTS
