He did a fantastic job on my cataract surgery. No pain after can see great after 3 days. I'm glad he did my surgery.

Dr. Campion preformed surgery on my left eye. Afterwards I have a huge blurry obnoxious spot in my vision. He said it's a floater and a second surgery could help but he wouldn't recommend it. I paid $4750 out of pocket :(

I found this guy by reading an article on celebrities who are getting their eye color changed through surgeries that are not FDA approved and not even performed in the States! multiple people have experienced disastrous results with loss of vision because of these surgeries that are ticking time bombs (because it takes years for the damage to actually compound). the article in question says BrightOcular (scummy company running the entire operation) gave this doctor's name for clarification on how safe the surgeries are. according to him, these surgeries have "low risk of blindness" which is 100% a lie. you can see these poor souls for yourself on YouTube if you just search "BrightOcular ruined my eyes" (along with a video being presented at an ophthalmologist conference about how these surgeries are too high risk to ever be considered worth it). I decided to search this doctor's name and was not surprised to see reviews suggesting this man should NEVER hold a license to… practice medicine. this is a person who will lie to make a buck at the expense of people's health! avoid at all costs!

Dr Campion did a toric lens implant on my right eye, and my vision is worse than before. It’s been a terrible experience. I didn’t see him again until the third post op visit, and he didn’t seem to know which patient I was. He was unconcerned about the failure of the surgery. He is incompetent and unprofessional. He mentioned that it might be fixed with a second surgery and the clinic would have to 'eat the cost'.

I was disappointed with the care my son received from Dr Campion. Granted we were sent to SWEC 2 hours after an optometry visit because of a condition perceived by our caring optometrist, so my son’s chart had not been received I was told. My son did his initial eye exam & then we waited for about 45 minutes in which we were hurriedly seen after reminding a nurse we were there. Dr Campion asked us to tell him what had been the diagnosis to which he was condescending & incredulous. He asked several times if we thought what our optometrist had said was true. He discredited what our optometrist said & acted as though my son’s eye condition was no big deal. Our very brief visit, under 10 Minutes, after our long wait left me doubting he knew what he was doing.

My experience with Dr Campion was horrible. I had a cataract surgery performed by him, he made mistakes and the outcome is I am left with compromised vision in my left eye. Dr Campion did not care that my eye was compromised, he told me I still had my right eye. If you are thinking about having a surgery by him I would tell you to check out the number of lawsuits that have been filed against him and rethink your decision. If you are wondering if I filed a lawsuit the answer is no, I wasn't "damaged enough" to be able to do so. It truly doesn't matter if the staff is polite or if they are prompt, the doctor's competency is what counts and I don't believe Dr. Campion is competent. I sincerely wished someone had warned me.

Dr Campion and the staff at Southwestern Eye Center have been wonderful. The excellent personal care they offer shows their devotion to their patients and is truly a grand example of customer satisfaction that is not commonly found today. Thank you!

Dr. Campion actually appeared drunk or very tired at our first meeting. He also showed very little compassion, concern, or even passion for his job.It was obvious he had not even looked over the history of my eye chart. He barely answered my questions - giving me the run-a-around usually -and seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of me. He told me he performed over 18,000 cataract surgeries, but I do wonder how well he actually performed them. Overall, I'd have to give Dr. Campion a D- or an F based on our first meeting. I think Dr. Campion needs to read the Southwestern Eye Center mission statement again where it talks about "Quality of Care" and "Quality of Life". With the exception of Dr. Campion's assistent, who clearly had some kind of attitude problem, I've always found the Staff and other doctors I've seen at SWEC to be quite friendly and professional. I hope this is just an isolated incident having to do with Dr. Campion alone, and isn't an indication of some future trend.
