Dr. Michael Capicotto was involved in a medical negligence case related to the wrongful death of a patient, Etta E. Malinou, at Miriam Hospital. The case highlighted issues of breach of standard care and the burden of proof required in medical malpractice claims.

This doctor never returns calls even when he’s on call and there’s an emergency situation. He’s rude and disrespectful. He has some psychological issues and I would never go to him again or refer him.

Went to see Dr Capicotto for an initial consultation after being referred from my primary when they found lesions and cysts on my kidneys. I was extremely anxious and nervous to find anything out but Within the first 10 seconds of meeting Dr Capicotto I was immediately put at ease and made comfortable with his great personality and calming affect. He spoke to me like I had known him all my life and he was one of my lifelong friends. He dismissed what my primary doctor had told me and told me that it was nothing to be concerned about. He then texted one of his friends who is a urologist and told him the situation so I didn’t have to wait for a follow up appt. I can’t tell you what an amazing professional and human being Dr Capicotto is and I would give him the highest rating possible.

I've been going to Dr. Capicatto for several years. His charming personality immediately puts you at ease. My kidney disease is of growing concern but Dr. Capicatto tells me he does the worrying, it's his job not mine. Dr. Capicatto is tops in his field, he's very knowledgeable, intelligent and kind. I don't feel like just another patient, I feel he truly cares and has compassion. It's unusual to find these qualities in the health care profession.

Extremely caring and sincere. Spends time with me when I have questions and will explain things in depth, but making it understandable. VERY smart man (probably the smartest Doctor I've been too) and knows what he is talking about, makes sure he checks everything needed and went above and beyond to make sure i was healthy or cured any disease. Had 2 nephrologists before this who were not friendly and mediocre at best. He is also extremely funny and easy to talk to. He made sure to provide the best care he could for me and did an A+ job!

I have finally found a doctor who makes me feel "comfortable". I can ask him anything and he gives me an honest, detailed answer. His pleasant and relaxed personality emits the same for his patients. When I see him in an office or hospital setting I feel as if I was his only patient. Very caring and focused on getting positive results for me. I am very, very happy and relieved to have made his acquaintance and services.
