Dr. Michael Chabot, DO

From the first visit I felt the confidence and skill exhibited by Dr. Chabot. I would highly recommend Dr. Chabot for spinal surgery. My surgery went as well as could be expected. Any pain after surgery was managed and dissipated rather quickly. Doctor's advice to stay active was very helpful. I have full faith in his surgery skills.

I have had a few procedures by Dr Chabot, including a discectomy in 2013 and a spinal fusion in 2025, and he has really helped me with back problems. The difference before and after back surgery was amazing!

Dr. Chabot performed an ALIF surgery for my L5-S1 herniated disk. He did an amazing job. Within 2 weeks from my hospital discharge, I was walking up to 10 miles a day. Four weeks after surgery, I was up to 15 miles. Once I was released to run again, I had zero pain and everything went very well. I am up to 6.5 miles running just months after the spine fusion he performed. If you have back issues, Dr. Chabot is the doctor for you. He does not push for surgery, but I was in a position that I did not have anymore options.

I was in extreme pain when visiting Dr. Chabot. He patiently dealt with my issue with care and professionalism. He first tried an injection and then performed surgery. The results were dramatic. Thank you

I wouldn't recommend Dr Chabot at all. I'm and RN who was injured and is having back and hip problems for 3 years now and was sent to him for a 2nd opinion. I didn't see him for an hour, 1 1/2 hours AFTER my appointment time. He examined me for maybe 10 min and it took him 10 weeks to come up with a report. After reviewing the report, he LIED several times, saying that I was walking normally, got up on the table normally, and got down normally. His own NP helped me to get my leg on the table. He's a workers comp doctor so he doesn't care at all and I feel sorry for anyone that sees him.

I was referred to Dr. Chabot by my PCF. From the first to my last visit I was thoroughly impressed by how Dr. Chabot's office staff treated me. Dr. Chabot spent a lot of time going over my medical history, reviewing and testing my current issues, and spent quite a bit of time answering all of my questions and concerns once he recommended surgery as my final option. The surgery at St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital went fantastically smooth; Dr. Chabot performed the surgery and I felt safe and well taken care of by his operating room staff. I received multiple calls from Dr. Chabot's office checking up on my recovery progress in the weeks following my surgery. I have never been treated with as much care and compassion in a medical environment as I received from Dr. Chabot and his staff, and from the St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital staff.

Dr Chabot has done two surgeries on my back and everything he did was very good. I highly recommend Dr Chabot and his staff.

My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Michael Chabot .He performed neck and lower spine surgeries to both of us.We couldn't have asked for a better Doctor and staff.We wouldn't have our surgeries done by anybody else but him.The orthopedic staff at St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital is wonderful.

Dr Chabot has followed me for my back issues for many years, recently resulting in back surgery. You hear many people say they didn’t get good results from their back surgery. My results were wonderful and I can now lead a pain free life! Not only is Dr Chabot a wonderfully gifted surgeon, but he is a kind and compassionate man as well. I trust him implicitly!

Dr. Chabot, diagnosed my problem with my lower back and recommended surgery. I had tried several other avenues before surgery but with little success. Surgery went extremely well and I am grateful to Dr. Chabot for I am now pain free.
