Summary
Dr. Michael Chamberlain, an Oklahoma native, completed his undergraduate and premedical studies at Northeastern State University and earned his medical degree from the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. He finished a four-year ophthalmology residency in Tulsa and pursued advanced oculoplastic fellowship training under Dr. Gerry Hunter. Early in his career, he practiced with the physicians at Triad Eye Medical Center and later joined Dr. Jason Ellen to found the Oklahoma Medical Eye Group (OMEG). Dr. Chamberlain is dedicated to bringing the latest surgical eye care technologies to patients across Northeast Oklahoma.
In clinical practice Dr. Chamberlain offers comprehensive ophthalmology services, including cataract surgery, laser-assisted cataract and refractive procedures, refractive lens exchange, and laser vision correction (LASIK). As a recognized specialist in oculoplastic and eyelid surgery, he performs both functional and cosmetic procedures for the upper and lower …eyelids and brow reconstruction, and provides aesthetic treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, and ablative and non-ablative skin lasers. He combines reconstructive oculoplastic techniques with cosmetic modalities to achieve functional restoration and improved appearance, maintaining a strong commitment to evidence-based care and clinical innovation.
Beyond patient care, Dr. Chamberlain lectures to fellow physicians, teaches residents and externs, and participates in clinical research to advance ophthalmic and oculoplastic practice. Before medicine he worked as a technology systems architect, an experience that continues to shape his interest in clinical technology and practice innovation. He and his wife Candice, a registered nurse, have been married since 1996 and live in Tulsa with their two sons. Dr. Chamberlain remains committed to serving his community through high-quality, technologically advanced eyecare and ongoing professional leadership.
