Michael Yao-Chia Chan, MD

This doctor has lived in our neighborhood for about 18 years. He is abnormally shy and exhibits strange anti social behavior. TALKS to zero people in the neighborhood only his dog, kids, family and relatives. He and his wife NEVER come out of their house to talk to neighbors, do front yard garden work, attend block parties, etc. His whole front yard is a total mess since he does not take care of it since he does not want to be seen by the neighbors. Again, very odd for a doctor which is rated as thorough and competent? If anyone waves at him he runs for the front door or turns his back to you or drives away. We can't figure out how this person can even be a "people" doctor with his anti-social problems(illness?). I would keep looking for another doctor. The last thing you want is a non-commutative doctor handling medical issues.

Wonderful doctor! Dr Chan has taken care of me and my whole family for years. We have recommended him to all of our friends and family.

Dr Chan is amazing! He and his team saved my life when I was having a heart attack. He treated me like a member of his family. Very thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate his care!

Outstanding and compassionate cardiologist!

Nice person but I don't believe competent. Reduced me from one whole aspirin per day to one baby aspirin for fear of causing a stroke. Turns out he should have left it alone. Aspirin is given to prevent a stroke. Ordered a stress test but neglected to tell me. Also neglected to tell me to stop my coreg 2-3- days before testing. In his defense this may have been an issue with staff but ultimately he is responsible. Hate to be 85 and no longer sharp. I wouldn't recommend the use of this cardiologist.
