Dr. Chang is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, fellowship trained in pain management. He specializes in interventional pain management, electrodiagnostics and physiatry. Dr. Chang%u2019s extensive clinical experience makes him one of the premier physiatrists in the area. Dr. Chang's primary focus is on the diagnostic and therapeutic treatments of the spine and the musculoskeletal system. He treats musculoskeletal issues, such as pain in the back, neck, knee, hip and shoulder. His repertoire of treatments includes fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided injections, physician-guided physical therapy, and minimally invasive spine procedures such as kyphoplasty and spinal cord stimulation. For some patients with pain due to osteoporotic or pathologic compression fractures, kyphoplasty %u2013 along with other therapies %u2013 is effective in eliminating or reducing pain. Spinal cord stimulation, a newer and innovative procedure that uses an electrical current to treat chronic …pain, may also be an option for those patients who have tried and failed with other pain management treatments. Dr. Chang graduated with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his degree as Doctor of Osteopathy at Western University of Health Sciences School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, Calif. He was awarded Intern of the Year while at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardino. Dr. Chang completed his residency training at New York University School of Medicine, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Chang then furthered his training with a fellowship in pain management at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Dr Chang has been my orthopedic Dr for 13+years, starting with a followup to a back surgery and these days, keeping track of my stenosis, bulging discs and arthritis. He is only the best.

Had a radio frequency ablation and it went amazing well, Dr Chang is an amazing doctor who truly understood my pain and how to treat it.

This md is convinced if you are a lb. overweight this is the problem. He never made any serious attempt to find my real pain. After being laid up I am again fit and guess what I'm still in pain. He is very prejudiced of this. I had very many unsuccessful cortisone shots in my back a very painful disco gram....which is a very barbaric invasive test to the spine that isn't even awknowledged by a real neurosurgeon, but they don't tell you that. I despise this physicians care. What a painful waste of time. Get a referral to a neurosurgeon and don't let this guy touch you!!!! My pain was worse when I left after being stabbed in the spine so many unsuccessful times.

Dr. Chang gets the job done right. I've had pain for years, and had not been able to manage it right until I saw Dr. Chang. Dr. Chang explained things to me in ways that treated me like an intelligent human being. He tried different things, and customized the treatment to me. I think Dr. Chang is one of the best trained and most knowledgeable pain doctors out there. He has tools to help those of us more than the usual one or two things. I highly recommend Dr. Chang.
