Dr Chang literally threatened to end treatment with me based solely on calling after hours for medication refills--- which he did not accommodate (even though SSRIs should have no break in dosing). Fortunately urgent care picked up what he lacked in responsibility and compassion. This response was unbelievable to me. Although to be fair, who knows what the receptionist relayed to him. She (the older, long-haired one) was always flustered and I'll-equipped to handle any basic request. Another disappointment was his his overtly judgemental attitude towards me because I wasn't ready to do EMDR for my PTSD.... Newsflash Doc: I just wasn't ready to do EMDR with YOU. A fragile process requires trust in your Doctor.

Doesn’t return phone calls even when someone is in a crises. Concerned about a friend that sees this doctor.

Discharged a patient to the streets when patient was begging for help with her mental health. Patient wanted to get into the hospital to get help. Refused to speak with concerned community providers about concern for this patient.

Dr Chang is a caring doctor and easy to talk to. If you feel you need earlier follow up, just call or tell him. He’s usually on time and has a nice receptionist. Convenient parking. I almost don’t want people to know how great he is, then he will be overbooked and unavailable!

Dr Chang has made me feel comfortable and cared for. He is gentle and compassionate. He occasionally gives me counsel or insight as well which I love because I've had doctors in the past who won't address any therapeutic issues at all.
