Dr. Michael Tandick Charney, MD

I went to go see Dr. Charney in 2017 for my newly diagnosed Lyme's Disease. I was extremely new to the disease and wanted to make sure the initial treatment was done correctly by my primary care physician. When entering the office, I was greeted by the office staff and everything seemed very professional which I enjoyed as a patient. As soon as I was brought to the examination room, everything went south from there. When Dr. Charney came in, there was no "Hello, I'm Dr... " it was very straightforward and basically telling me what I already knew which is that I had lymes Disease. Then, Dr Charney recieved a phone call and picked it up and walked out of the room to talk about his weekend plans with his friends. My mother and I were completely shocked as he was very unprofessional... We didn't go back to him of course and he needs to think about retiring from medicine as he is just not up to the standard to be seeing patients anymore.

I've seen Dr Charney several times over the years..I've always felt well taken care of..he orders all lab needed and treats when appropriate. I recommend !

Michael Charney is completely incompetent. He doesn't listen to you and he rushes you out the door. I have a deadly disease which started as an intestinal parasite, which has migrated throughout my entire body. Ive got it so bad that Ive got these worms in my lungs and throat and I'm constantly coughing them up, it's horribly discusting. I've been trying to get a diagnosis for 3 years and went to Dr. Charney with high expectations as he's know as the best Infectious Disease Specialist in the County. Trust and believe, he's is not. He's such a Chicken he has his unprofessional office staff make calls for him when he needs to inform the patient of a test result. It's very obvious just by looking at my arms neck and face that I have cutaneous Larva Migrans. Yet all he did was prescribed Clindamycin and one Rx for Vermox. Which did ABSOLUTLY nothing. He kept saying I had MRSA, Which I did not. Plus he never even tested me for MRSA, therefore there was no diagnosis for ZmRSA. He'said a… total Quack! As for the office manager Terri. This woman should not be in the Medical Field whatsoever. Quite frankly she is the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered in the Medical field. I, myseld, am a Medical Assistant and have been an Assistant Center Manager in a very well know extremely busy Medical Clinic and the first thing you learn is to always treat people with dignity and respect. She lacks everything it takes to be involved within the Medical Field. She and Dr. Charney are the most unprofessional people I've ever had to deal with. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS DR IF HE WAS THE LAST DR ON THIS PLANET.

I has a scheduled appointment and came even early to fill out paperwork. Front desk assistant was very rude and then i waited an hour and she forgot i had an appointment. I work in this same field and the manners of this office and how it runs is so by far the worst. I will never recommend or come back to this doctors office. You would think one they would have a clean and sanitary office for being in the medical field, two that the staff would be efficient and polite. Horrible
