Had to fight him to refer me for a sore back cyst. Tried to tell me to get used to it, I would have it rest of my life. Dermatologist agreed it needed to come off. For my other complaints, he advised me to take long walks, get a bicycle and maybe a dog to walk--wrote this out for me on little kid's dinosaur stationery. Although he was officially my primary care provider for years, I only saw him twice; learned to go around him and see specialists in Farmington without a referral. Received a postcard years later announcing his retirement--truthfully he retired decades ago.

Dr Michael Collins, UCHC Internal Medicine, has a great bedside manner. He's well respected by his peers and patients alike. He'll go out of his way to help you feel at ease while in his care. You and your needs will also be important to him.
