Dr. Michael H Connor Sr., DDS

To start off Dr. Connor does NOT deserve 1 star. I had a similar experience with Dr. Connor like the review before this. I had a tooth extracted by him. I received a flipper as temporary to decide what I wanted in the future. I went back for a consult due to the flipper just wasn't fitting properly and gave me a horrible lisp. During my consult with this man he proceeded to insult me when I asked if I could get another flipper. He told me I had lousy teeth, that I didn't take care of my teeth. He also said the tooth that he pulled last week was rotten and black. Then he proceeds to tell me you are missing molars and you need a bridge, and implants. He then tells me "I guess it's all about financials" what does that mean? Can't afford it? If that was the case I wouldn't be here to begin with. I was in such disbelief with what he was telling me and the tone he was telling me in. I got up out of the chair and proceeded to leave. His last remark to me was "Get a life" Dr. Connor should… just hang up his coat and retire because the way he is heading he may need to go to a Memory Care facility because he forget his bed side manners.

It's not only that this Dr is not competent but also he has no honor. He put an implant for me and it failed after a short time. He felt so bad and promised to redo it without any cost to me. When I went to take an appointment to do the surgery he simply told me that he changed his mind and refused to do the surgery or refunding what he charged me for the first implant. He is so rude and has no honor.

Zero stars. The staff was very kind and polite, Michael Connor, however, was the most arrogant, condescending, insensitive and rude human being. In all of my years I have never met a more unkind medical professional. My husband went in for an exam at the referral of our dentist. When I made the appointment for my husband I made the person taking the information aware that my husband has serious anxiety with dentists and she assured me everything would be fine. On his appointment day, when he got called back I told the hygienist that I will need to go back with him because he has severe anxiety with any type of dentist due to a bad experience he had in the past. I continued by informing her that he will be unresponsive and her reply was that if he needs me she’ll come get me. I felt that was a little off putting especially because it’s their job to make us feel secure but I respected her decision. After about 20 minutes she asks me to come back at which time I hear my husband and the… doctor arguing. I asked what was going on and my husband said the doctor was rude and condescending by making comments like “you need your wife to hold your hand” in a mocking tone. He said that Michael Connor never even introduced himself that he started straight away with the rudeness and judgements. I explained to the Michael Connor about the past experience he had with a procedure gone wrong with a dentist while he was in the army and Michael Connor said very smugly “well, I’m not that doctor”. I continued, well when he had the root canal they didn’t remove all the bacteria and he got a very bad infection and was hospitalized for several weeks, to which he said, “you can’t blame the dentist the bacteria was already there”. I wanted to ask him, if he felt it was acceptable for a dentist to perform a root canal and not clean out the infected area completely before closing it up, but Michael Connor and my husband proceeded to argue because of Michael Connor’s smug attitude and comments. Then Michael Connor said to my husband, “I can tell you didn’t grow up in Florida” which then led me to believe not only is this man a horrible person but he’s racist too. I then said, “not all doctors have the right bedside manner for every patient so we’ll find another one”. My husband never received the exam but after Michael’s comment about “the doctor wasn’t to blame” and “the bacteria was already there” I feel we dodged a bullet because he seemed very incompetent. Do not go to Michael Connor he will shame you and make you feel like you’re a horrible person. He does not even deserve the title of Dr. Also, do your own research when your doctor refers another because I trusted their judgement and it was disappointing. I will inform our dentist to never refer this rude and incompetent person to anyone again.
