Dr. Michael James Conrad, MD

did surgery on me in 2017, did it robotically, before surgery he showed me where he was inserting robotic arm, my reply was that ti too close to my lapband port, but he said he could manage it, well guess what a ruptured lapband port, for a whole year he did not listen to me when i told i was in tremendous pain! Thankfully Dr Britt and Dr Young found it, 2 surgeries and a Endoscopy since Nov 1st 2018! Would not recommend Dr Conrad, he is nice enough, but Drs should listen to their patients more! Just my opinion!

Excellent doctor that really spends time with you and cares about ALL of his patients! The wait is worth it because I know he'll be there for me!

Dr Conrad is the absolute best in Huntsville. He cares deeply about all of his patients and really tries to make every one of his deliveries. He's a blessing to our area.

Dr. Conrad is AMAZING. I would recommend him to anyone. After being told I could never have children I was completely devastated. ONE visit with Dr. Conrad he immediately eased my fears and we were pregnant the next month! I now have two beautiful boys thanks to the Lord above and Dr. Michael Conrad! Truly a one of a kind person!

Dr. Conrad has been my doctor for years. He is the most caring, compassionate doctor I've ever met. He always takes time to explain things to me. He's a great Christian man!

Dr. Conrad is the sweetest most comforting doctor I have ever had. I have a surgery next week checking for endometriosis though im very nervous there is no other doctor i trust more than Dr Conrad. I have had a terrible time with my menstrual cycles since I was 11, and he and his staff has always helped me through it and im very comfortable with theyre decisions. Dr Conrad is also the only doctor I have ever met who will stay and talk to you until you're done talking whether it be an hour long sitting with him.

I picked Dr. Conrad because he had a reputation for allowing women to labor naturally and does not push induction, c-sections, interventions without medical necessity. I loved my experience with him and have recommended him to countless friends and family. He delivered my daughter and will be delivering my second child this spring. He was extremely compassionate during my very long and painful labor and supportive of my choices, but was always willing to give me sound medical advice (and I trust him enough to listen!) without being pushy. I've never felt rushed by him (either in the office or during my labor, when he came to check on me several times over the 24 hrs I was in the hospital during labor). I love his nurses and his office staff. And when I was postpartum, I had a case of mastitis and they fit me in and saw me the same day. The wait is generally not bad unless he's had a delivery or emergency come up, and he always spends a good amount of time with me and… makes sure he answers all of my questions. My husband and I love him and I wouldn't use anyone else.

Dr. Conrad is a wonderful dr if you do not have any serious health problems. His bedside manners are wonderful though his nurse Catie is unfriendly, doesn't return phone calls in a timely manner, and makes you feel as if you are bothering her. If you have a normal pregnancy he's the guy for you and you will most likely have a wonderful experience. If you have PCOS , endometriosis , or infertility issues he isn't your guy. I believe he truly cares about his patients and wants to help. But he has a hard time admitting his limitations with serious issues and will rush you into treatment that may not turn out well. Also be prepared to wait at least an hour to see him.

In my search for a physician that would support my goal of a natural birth, I contacted Dr. Conrad's office. His nurse promptly responded, stating that the practice did support natural birth, but was unable to accept any new patients around my due date. Although I am not a patient, this practice has treated me with more respect than most of the other practices in town.

No question is too dumb! He takes time to work with you and explain things you have questions about. Great bedside manner and in delivery room. I don't recommend anyone else as my experience has always been great with Dr. Conrad!
