terrible bedside manners ,had two surgeries , both had to be re done

Rude, inconsiderate, arrogant. Has no heart. Dosent care or wont listen to concerns just walked away when we tryed to asked questons.

I asked him some questions about him prescribing bone density meds for my mother as he suggested and he said I need to see her primary physician ,he said I was confrontational, he was very arrogant,rude and was a total jerk,needless to say we won’t be going back to him

This doctor screamed at my wife, his patient, who is also. Surgeon. He belittled her and told her to return to work even though she had two nerve entrapments diagnosed by a more competent doctor..this guy thinks he is God. Have nothing to do with him.plus he never once looked at her incision after surgery!

I have a cyst in my brain. I had some anxiety about it. His nurse eased my anxiety over the phone. Very nice people unit I met with Copeland. I refuse to use the term "doctor" with him. The little man appeared insulted every time I asked a question. I wanted to hear my results of my C-SCAN so I just shut my mouth. I'm still not sure if my result of my C-SCAN was good or not. I called the office and requested all my records be transferred to anyone else in the office except him, because I knew the next time there would be a confrontation. Sometimes you have to stand up to a bully. I called and complained about his professionalism. Apparently, this is by far not the first complaint on him. I also blame the hospitals for not reeling him in or firing him. He's definitely not the only neurosurgeon in town.

the man gave me my life. I thank him and could not thank him enough.

Worst Doctor I have ever seen.

I read many of the reviews for Dr. Copeland and his staff. It made me uneasy. At one point I was rethinking this referral. This morning I contacted them to review my x-rays. They searched far and wide, but couldn't find the records that were sent. The receptionist/secretary was extremely helpful, polite, and had a very good disposition. I have not yet acquired an appointment, but I am looking forward to what could become the most painful physical experience I have had in a while. I will keep commenting as I go and try to be as fair as possible. As I have been a caregiver, and worked in in-home care and hospice, I understand both sides of this issue. Blog Back.

I had an MRI done 1 year prior to now and now have a recent MRI. The symptoms have changed and now there is extreme pain & numbness. My doctor read me the MRI report and used the word savier and damaged / damaging. There are 2 flat disks & 2 areas of verve damage from spinal stenosis. After finagling getting an appointment with Copeland I asked why the dramatic deterioration in the past year. He said he would NOT read any reports he would only look and a couple of images from the MRI. He became very hostile and keep saying that my disks look better today than 1 year ago. I wanted to know why the pain and numbness is so bad. He said itâ??s NOT. He would not look at the other issues that the radiologist found. He then stopped and looked at my Fiancé and asked what is wrong with you? She had tears in her eyes and was sitting quietly listening to the abuse. He then said NO ONE IS DYEING so why are you upset? Most incredibly rude man I have ever been in the presence of. He finally… said that he needs to fuse the 2 vertebrae together and that will fix everything. So, yes, he went from you are fine to you need major surgery. WOWâ?¦ Said he would request a steroid shot for the pain and shuffled us out. The next day I kept calling his office to find out about when & where the shot was to take place. Finally after several calls and being dumped on other staff members, I am told that he never requested a shot and maybe I needed to wait a couple of weeks to see if anything comes through from Copeland. Stay away from this man. He is not a Doctor of medicine. He appears to be a money making machine and doesnâ??t care about the human beings that pay him. If you see him, RUN.

I had a herniated disc revelaed on an MRI. Expericened severe pain down left leg into foot. I waited almost 3 weeks to get in to see him and we decided to do surgery. I was niave enough to think that this would solve all my issues with the disc injury. Within 3 weeks after surgery, I had a flare up and he put me back on steroids. That was my first indication that something doesnt sound right. After two months and a followup visit, Dr. Copeland he had an attitutde of "I did nothing wrong", made me feel like I was whining, indicated that some people have these issues when they chase the pain with narcotics. Since I had not used pain meds since the first week of surgery, I was pretty sure I was not addicted to the pain meds. AND then he bacame rather agitated when I asked him to fill out my FMLA forms. Said he didn't have to but would if I asked instead of tell him, which I thought I did but apparently he didn't think I did. The next appiontment he finally conceded to another… MRI, which did not show anything. I took my husband to that appointment just in case he was belligerent again. Since there was nothing on the MRI (which I have my doubts about that), the only other option was another steroid dose and if that didn't work a steroid injection in my back. He was proud enough to show us what he had done in surgery to prevent scar tissue but could not admit that maybe something else was going on. Basically I am done seeing him for follow ups. I remember laying in the surgery room and noticing a huge Super Man logo on the wall, When I asked why, the nurse said because it is Dr. Copeland's operating room. So, the guy thinks he's invincible??? That has stuck with me every since my operation. In the meantime, I am using alternate care and have had some results in the last two weeks. Right now, I would not return to Dr. Coepland with another issue.
