i had him when he was at cmmc and a great doctor and on a few times i needed help right away and he made that happened not like now i am sorry boston but he needs to come back to maine as mant of us men still need him and thank you ahead of time for allow this to happened ONLY IF THE DOCTORS WANT TO but i would go to boston if i could and he would see me again thanks

Dr. Corea cared enough to order tests which discovered that I had a blockage of my right kidney; had he not done so, I would still be suffering with kidney stones. I then had a difficult, over 4 hr, operation to remove the blockage as well as a cache of kidney stones which had formed since my last surgery. The medicine I have had to take since my surgery has upset my stomach. Again, Dr.Corea was the only dr who cared enough to really address this issue. I find Dr.Corea a kind, gentle man who truly listens to me and both my husband & I believe he wants me to live a healthy, painfree life free of kidney stones. His actions and manner all attest to his working toward this end. He has phoned me personally to see how I am doing and has given me good advice about medication. To me, he is a rare breed of doctor in this time when so many others greet a patient with their computer! I would recommend him highly to any new patient.

Dr. Michael E. Corea has been our urologist for several years. He has been able to treat urologic disorders following prostate cancer that no other physician was able to. He enters the exam room with a smile, and is calm and collected, happy to see his patient. He talks to the patient during the exam, explains his findings and the treatment options. His followup is great. He answers all questions. His office staff is very professional and in an emergency schedules a patient to be seen quickly. I wish Dr. Corea was still in Florida, but he has relocated to Portland, Maine. Anyone who is seeking the care of a urologist should contact Dr. Corea. They will not be disappointed.

Dr. Corea prefers to perform procedures and it not concerned about the discomfort or fears of his patients. He is always ahead of schedule because he spends as little time as possible with patients. He absolutely wants to get in, get out, and get on to the next surgery or procedure. He appears to have had no pain management training. For a physician who cares for patients with one of the most painful conditions that one can suffer, a kidney stone, Dr. Corea, offers little sympathy or relief for the sufferer. I was very disappointed that a doctor so new to medicine had such a burned out, lack of caring for patients. Perhaps, it is because he never stays with his patients long enough to listen to what they need.
