Dr. Michael Ray Cox, MD

Dr. Cox has been my doc for a long time and he is awesome. I have been very happy with his management of my health care.

Dr Cox used to take time during my appointments, but the past two years he rushes through them. This last yearly physical I wasn't even asked to put on a gown, he just examined me in my street clothes and rushed me out. He didn't ask any questions about a recent surgery I'd had or about an issue I've been having to see a specialist for. I've been very disappointed with his lack of concern for my health at my last two yearly physicals and thus will be looking for another physician. Also, you have to book an appointment a year in advance, 13 months to be exact. He is not available to see you in between yearly physicals because he's too booked up.

He was friendly until recommending a specialist at vail west. I am disappointed in the cotton O'neil group. I was stopped could turkey on medication for six months waiting on my appointment at vail west. It was very uncomfortable and could have been handled more professionally. Dr. Cox should have considered the side effects of discontinuation of medication while waiting six months to see a phyciayric dr. I found a new indecent primary doctor who was able to handle everything without a specialist. I would not recommend Dr Cox or cotton O'neil.

Was released from Stormont Vail and was still having issues, went in to see him and his response was live with the pain. I had a blood clot and it was never resolved in the hospital and was sent home and was told it would take a while. Never had another sonagram to see how the clot was desolving in the hospital and again today never received another sonagram. He just said it would take a while and my leg is getting worse and I am concerned about a heart attack. He suggested that I just go to Hospice or a Nursing Home. He took medications away that I have been on for sometime. He doesn't seem to care about me anymore and with our Medical System I have to stay.
