Dr. Michael Cushman is trust by the community and committed to the highest standards. He is known as the "Doctors" Dentist in Oakland. His patients include Critical Care and Emergency Care Physicians, Internists, Ophthalmologists, Pediatricians, Surgeons, and Physicians in Residency and Fellowship.
Dr. Cushman is a graduate of Georgetown University Dental School. He has completed post graduate training at the Seattle Institute of Dental Education and the William C. Strupp Post Graduate School of Dentistry. Dr. Cushman's private practice in Pittsburgh is focused on comprehensive cosmetics and general dentistry, as well. Dr. Cushman developed the emergency dental care protocol for UPMC and CMU emergency service. He also has a published article in Radius Healthcare Magazine.
When not spending quality time with his wife, Lisa and daughter, Kathryn, Dr. Cushman can be found on the golf course.

I went to see Dr. Cushman when bonding had broken off my front tooth. It was so extensive that all that was left was a stump. Dr. Cushman saw me right away, and he essentially rebuilt my tooth. He did a phenomenal job. I couldn’t have been more pleased.

I love Dr. Cushman and his staff. He is so professional, gentle and friendly. I also like one of the Dental Assistant, she is phenomenal. I highly recommend this physician.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Cushman. I'm a college student managing my health insurance and the health care system for the first time by myself. I had gone to another dentist before Dr. Cushman who took advantage of that by running unnecessary tests and recommending unnecessary procedures. Dr. Cushman is awesome. I needed a root canal on a front tooth, and seeing as he doesn't specialize in tough root canals, he was ethical enough to send me to someone else for it. He did my permanent filling and did a great job. Could have told me I needed a crown to make an extra buck, but was again ethical enough to tell me it really wasn't necessary. Definitely see Dr. Cushman if you want a dentist who is kind, ethical, and very good at what he does!!

Dr Cushman came in on weekend to take care of emergency dental problem!

I was referred to Dr Cushman as him being a very kind dentist. I went there believing he could help me. I told him that I might need more Novacain as it does not make me numb. he assured me he would make me comfortable and I would not feel anything. I had a root canal and I felt every bit of it. I was crying and squirming and he just continued. I have an appointment for a crown and he called to basically say he did not want me back. As he could not make me happy. I told him it was malpractice to not finish the work and he agreed but could not tell me when. I am flaberghasted.
