Dr. Michael Joseph Damiano, MD

Dr Damiano saved my life in one visit. He recognized and diagnosed an issue that I was not aware of having. He truly saved my life. I was told by the doctors at Washington Hospital Center that if Dr. Damiano had not sent me to the ER, I would not have had a good outcome and he saved my life.

He was Great! I had been to 2 other doctors before I went to Dr Damiano with ear infection issues. He was the first to take the time to do a thorough review and examination and not just give me an antibiotic to get me out of his office. He made a diagnosis and referred me to a surgeon where I had surgery to save my hearing. I highly recommend.

A few years ago, my primary care physician referred me to Dr. Damiano regarding a prolonged ear infection. I've continued to see him since then and my experiences have been nothing but positive. I have been very appreciative of the time he has taken to explain my particular problems â?? whatâ??s causing them and how best to think about solutions. The physical characteristics of my ear canals make me subject to periodic infections and pressure imbalances. I travel often and sometimes need a last minute check before I fly. Dr. Damiano has always been able to work me in on those occasions. Whenever possible, instead of automatically recommending prescription medications, Dr. Damiano has willingly suggested over the counter treatments to try first; these have always worked out well. On one occasion, he recommended another specialist for a second opinion. This provided confirmation of his initial diagnosis and preferred course of treatment. I consider Dr. Damiano to be an… integral member of my medical care team and recommend him without reservation.

He wasn't the most pleasant although not unpleasant. He was short with me while I was responding to his questions. Staff was fine but there is nothing I would recommend about this practice. I am still waiting for results over a week later.

I've been seeing Dr. Damiano since 2004. I had chronic tonsillitis and frequently visited the Greenbelt office. Dr. Damiano did his best to manage my antibiotic intake and recurrent infections which developed frequently. In 2008, while I was traveling for work, talking to Dr. Damiano over the phone from an urgent care clinic, he said "when you get back, we need to talk about surgery". He was kind but firm! He'd been mentioning a tonsillectomy for years, but I was always too scared. All I can say is, I should have done it sooner. I haven't been sick since 2008. I recently went back to the office for a sinus infection, very rare since that surgery, and Dr. Damiano and his staff were as kind and responsive as always.

With all due respect, I felt rushed out of the office. The appointment was not worth the travel time. Plus the equipment they use did not look sanitzed and sterilized. I agree with the comment below about the Internet. The only thing I can't complain was the short wait time.

Great service. The staff at the front office was professional and friendly. I did not have to wait very long to see the doctor.

I was so impressed with Dr. Damiano. He took time to make conversation and lacked judgment and condescension. I had a somewhat complicated diagnosis, but he came to a quick assessment. His exam was very thorough, and even double-checked my pressure readings himself after the tests conducted by this assistant came back unusual. I highly recommend!

Dr. Damiano diagnosed and treated my problem accurately, with a follow-up that showed his genuine concern for his patients. I will continue to see Dr. Damiano for any issues in the future, and will recommend him to others in need. His staff was busy, courteous and efficient.
