He entered Creighton Dental School and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1992.
Michael Dang returned to Hawaii and found a dental practice that he was interested in and established it in 1993. His office is located in Enchanted Lake of Kailua. What drew him to this location, was the clientele that would come with the practice. He found them very family oriented and it fit him very well.
He gained his respect from his clientele by being nominated as Consumer Business Review: "Dentist of the Year" for 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999.
