Dr. Michael Donald Danko, MD

I was a patient for 6 years. I moved to Ohio from South Carolina. That's why I changed doctors. I never had a medicine count be off. My last appointment I was told there was none of my medicine showing on my previous drug screen and had something else showing up that I never heard of. Without any discussion, I was told I would need to find another doctor. I only saw Dr Danko twice during those 6 years. I always saw the nurse practitioners. I tried to call to talk to the actual doctor 3 times and was actually told he wasn't going to call me back. So after being on the same prescription for 21 years, that was it. I put up with feeling like a criminal every month because I'm a chronic pain patient and needed my meds. If you're called in for a pill count, they make you give a urine sample with 2 nurses in the bathroom with you. I'm now on the search for a new doctor. Thanks a lot doctor. Do not go to premier pain management. They do not care!

Everyone was nice the 3 yrs I was there.but 4 mths ago I was called for pill count.i had a flat and I couldn't get a ride until 3 and takes 45 minutes to get there.she wanted me there by 3.whicg they don't close till 5? And I wasn't told I could go to local pharmacy.i could've gotten a ride across the bridge! Because of that I have to find another Dr! That's not a caring Dr to me

I went here for almost three years and I got treated poorly as far as anyone there being compassionate with anyway about me and my life and what I’ve been thru with surgeries and the level of pain I’ve had for 25 years, I mean my drug screen got mixed up once with somebody else and they pretty much accused me of not having any of my medication in my system but other medications that I have never taken! I never had a bad urine screen not one single time, My next visit wasn’t an apology that I was right about it getting mixed up and that they made a mistake , instead it was more like well mistakes happen! Even the mistake of me knowing the persons name that my urine got mistaken to be and the same with their urine with me!! There is this law called “Hippa” Well, Mistake’s do happen so if I were to make a mistake then that’s a whole different story! I went to an appointment a few days short on one of my medications (so they said,) it was totally clear that I wasn’t but they didn’t want… to hear anything I had to say! they couldn’t give me not one minute of their time for me to ask how they came up with what they did, and that included the dr. They did not want to hear anything at all from me! Just told me that they couldn’t help me any longer! They don’t care about anyone of their patients, there are hundreds of people that go there between the 3 or 4 practices that dr Danko has, I’m just one more person that doesn’t mean anything to them!! It’s really sad that you have to get treated in a way that shows you just how they really feel and maybe it’s because injections don’t help me so therefore I didn’t get them, I honestly don’t know but to keep lowering your medications time and time again doesn’t really make things better on your everyday life and what it all intells, they have no idea what you as a person does on a day to day basis, the pain that you have to endure because there is no compassion whatsoever from anyone there! I hope that I can find a pain management where there just might be a dr patient relationship as far as showing some kind of compassion and understanding of what someone that deals with chronic pain and has for many years really has to deal with! I had a dr for many years that did exactly that but he passed away and so I had to find another pain management, but I can say today that I wish it wouldnt had been here! I honestly do not have much good to say about this place or the dr. So I hope you take all this in consideration before you think about going here because I do know that karma definitely comes back to people for good or bad and I feel like the karma that’s coming to this place isn’t gonna be the good kind!

I drove a friend of mine to an appt here. I noticed someone working there but I didn’t say anything until I was driving my friend home from their appt. I asked my friend what this person did there and I about wrecked when he told me on our ride home. My friend was shocked I knew this persons name and a lot about this person. Long story short.....how can a pain management drs office employ someone to perform drug tests on patients who smokes marijuana on a daily basis for no reason? I know the spouse and ex spouses of this individual and it is smoked daily, probably on the way to work. How can pain drs and nurses not know the smell of marijuana on someone? So one of the people performing drug tests on patients couldn’t pass their own random drug test unless someone else provided the urine. My friend is looking for a new pain dr.....any suggestions??

I saw Dr. Danko only on my first visit, but he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. I have since been seen by the same Nurse Practitioner, as I requested, so that I had one person who knew me and my case really well. This is the first time I have had a Nurse Practitioner, Karen Buddendeck, that has not treated me like a druggy and truly cares about my pain and helping me maintain some sense of quality of life. She truly is an angel and I wouldn't want to see anyone else, but her. She's been extremely kind and understanding time and time again.

Doctor Danko cancelled Molina health care with out even telling us that we were terminated untill it was to late to do anything about it they told me on jan. First that i was terminated and i need to change insurance company, well enrollment wes last month, i am about to have a break down to

I do have to admit that I did have to wait about an hour for my first new patient consultation with Dr. Danko. Dr. Danko is very up to date and knowledgable regarding different treatment options available to patients with severe pain. This long wait allowed me the opportunity to sit and observe the office staff and their interactions with other patients. All of the staff was very kind and polite with each patient who entered their office. I absolutely love the Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioners who work with Dr. Danko. I was very afraid of going to a "Pain Treatment Center". I had a fear of being judged because of my pain. Every one of these mid-level providers, and Dr. Danko, have demonstrated so much compassion and eagerness to help relieve my pain. After decades of suffering with severe chronic pain, I have finally found a treatment plan that helps alleviate my pain and become more functional in my daily life. I am forever grateful to Dr. Danko and his compassionate… staff.

Well...you really never see Danko. You see his co hurts who are rude, and could not care less about your pain.

Meds no longer working...have shared this info with doc. They never change it.
