dr deal did the worst job humanly possible when i was his patient

Dr Deal will write you a prescription and up your dose pretty high. Then the next thing you know he reduces it. This is because he is nearly completely blind. He can’t read your medical charts!! He doesn’t care if he runs behind, so be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting in the waiting room. However if you miss your appointment, be prepared to pay for it! He is mentally ill himself. Don’t bother letting him putting you in the hospital because he doesn’t give you any therapy there. It’s just money lining his pockets. He should have retired 25 years ago. Actually, he should have never become a psychiatrist.

WARNING!!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. This is the WORST provider I have seen in my entire life. I literally waited TWO HOURS past my appointment time. I was there for over an hour before the doctor even walked in the office. I have been treated for depression over the last 20+ years by various psychiatrists. Dr. Deal told me that Major Depressive Disorder does not exist and that I am Bi-Polar. Based on other reviews he tells everyone this upon first meeting. He also mistakenly thought I was there to see him for opioid addiction. NOW HERE'S WHERE YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION: before seeing the doctor you are required to take a urine drug test. This test costs over $3,000!!!! Of course most insurances will deny a urine test that costs this outrageous amount. I called the office to get the results of my urine test and they refused. I have never had a medical facility refuse to give me results. Instead, they told me I would have to call… the lab directly. Oddly the lab used is in St. Louis, MO. When I finally got the lab results in the mail it shows that I was tested for over 50 drugs. WHY??? I was only there for issues with depression. I never asked to be seen for a non-existing substance abuse problem. So how does the lab come up with a price of over THREE THOUSAND dollars? The lab report has no break down of the charges. The lab refused to explain how they came up with this dollar amount. Suspiciously enough, on the lab report, Dr. Deal marked a diagnosis code that states, "long term drug therapy and back pain." Neither of which apply to me. Since I could get no real answers, I filed a complaint with the Indiana Medical Board as well as the Federal Trade Commission. I believe that something really wrong is going on and I intend to get to the bottom of it. If you are considering going to this provider I URGE YOU TO GO ELSEWHERE.

Ive been bipolar type 2 for my whole life and i self medicated. I am officially done doing that and dr deal made total sense to me. So i did further research, which anyone should do when seeing a new dr. His app was very helpful and i havent felt this well in 4 years! Thank you dr deal. If you aren't ready to to do as your asked and take your meds right then don't see him. I have an idea why some of you are trashing him. And its not his doing. For those of us with actual Dx of bipolar type 2 and anxiety he will help you.

Long wait like others have said. Just a pill pusher that will pigeonhole you into his preferred diagnosis in order to get you on his preferred meds.

He is an 80's doctor that is stuck in the past. He thinks everyone has bi-polar. Would never recommend him to anyone.

He tells everyone they are bi polar then give you melds. That make you worse, stay away
