Dr. Michael John Decker, MD

I had an MRI but he took X-rays. Gave me a spinal injection. Returned 2 weeks later because is did nothing. He yelled at me, told me to get used to it, it wasn’t going to get better. Later, I had injections, then surgery, on different vertebrae than he said was damaged.

Dr. Decker treated my husband Marshall Bradley for a Brachial Plexus injury for a few years. Marshall passed away from Cancer. Dr. Decker was quite compationate, curtious, and professional. Marshall had a deep trust and admiration for Dr. Decker. I would highly recommend Dr. Decker to anyone in need.

First time I was seen by this less than a good doctor he was running a pain management clinic on Paterson Ave even back then he was more about money from the insurance companies than his patients welfare. He deemed me a faker and only out for a free ride wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. His actions cost me a career and made me and my family financially suffer. As far as I'm concerned he should try something else for a living.

Dr Decker is wonderful I have been to several doctors before finding him, and from day one he has been amazing, Debbie the front desk lady, Alexa, his nurses are all over the top friendly. I wouldn't leave this Dr for anything. Whole office is great.

I want to say, I have had several procedures, have had great doctors, but must say that the entire visit from the front desk to procedure was outstanding! The nurses were very happy and a lot of fun, and Dr Decker came before the procedure and explained how and what he would be doing! Highly recommend Advanced Orthopedics!

Staff inserted IV gently, trying to make me as comfortable as possible but did not insert anathesia before putting me on table for procedure. Dr. Decker came in and introduced himself but did not offer to explain his procedure. I persisted and he then proceeded with explanation. At that time due to the degree of pain I was experiencing, I told him that I could not lay on my stomach. I had previously told his staff and they indicated that I would be lightly sedated at that time and would be able to do so. Dr. Decker's response when I told him was that I would lay on my stomach and proceeded to assist me onto my stomach. I screamed and someone on his staff suggested this might be a good time to start the IV. Do not remember seeing or speaking with Dr. Decker after that.

When I came to him I had 2 bad discs diagnosed. He found 3. For 3 years I went to him for cortisone injections in my discs and would walk in a cripple and the next day I would be working in my garden. He told me I could get them twice a year indefinitely. But the time they lasted got shorter and suddenly they stopped working altogether and he ordered another MRI. Unfortunately he NEVER got back to me about the results. I called several times and the nurse was very nice and said it was on his desk but he didn't call. Finally I just got a copy and went to another doctor. After I had the surgery, THEN he called to let me know the results! I would never go back, nor recommend him to anyone after this treatment.

I found Dr Decker to be insensitive and uncaring. He was more concerned with telling me I was overweight than being willing to treat me for the problems that my primary care doctor sent me there for. As a business professional, I felt he talked down to me instead of talking to me. He sent me back to waiting room after I met with him while he reviewed my history. After close to an hour of waiting, his nurse came out, and in front of the entire waiting room, told me that Dr Decker was willing to prescribe narcotics for me , which He and I had not discussed. I declined offer and left.

I have been seeing Dr.Decker for some time now and I have to give him an excellent rating.He has always been there for me when I needed him.Without Dr.Decker I would be a misrable human being living with pain day in and day out.With my back injections and my pain medications is what helps me cope on a day to day living.Thank you Dr.Decker for helping me cope.I would recommend...

Dr. Decker is the best. I have been to many and he has been the only one to help relieve my back pain to a level that allowed me to tolerate it enough to concentrate on my work.
