Did a liver resection, surgery and recovery went well. My incision kept opening up and I kept going back to get treated at least 3 times. They stopped returning my calls and I was left with a horrible scar. yeah thanks a lot

He prepped me for Transplant saying I was getting one that day. He pulled a bait and switch on me even though I was the patient with longest wait time. I was eventually called by both my HMO and UNOS and told not to use him or LL for Transplant. I transferred to another program and got transplanted within 2 days of listing. He had to have an excuse for excluding me so he drummed up a heart condition and did an improper stress echo after Saying my HMO did not submit one. Oh yeah if true how did I get approved through commitee? He never consulted a cardiologist. I sought the opinions of 3 cardiologists that confirmed the heart condition did not exist. He contradicted himself over and over. He has a court case brought against him by another Transplant doctor he lost that resulted in a huge pay off by LL. It can be found online.

I feel very fortunate that Dr. Devera performed my liver transplant. The complex surgery was flawless with no complications. He is kind, compassionate and spent ample time with me post surgery.
