Dr. Michael Mckinley Dombrowski, MD

I accompanied my wife to her appointment with Dr. Michael Dombrowski after a long journey filled with recurrent heartbreak. We came hoping for a thoughtful conversation about her care and to discuss ways to mitigate continued challenges.. Instead, from the moment Dr. Dombrowski entered the room, it felt like he had already made up his mind and had little interest in hearing our concerns. My wife tried to explain our history and why continuing certain treatments was important to us, but she repeatedly felt dismissed rather than heard. There was little acknowledgment of what we had endured to reach this point or the emotional weight those experiences carry. We understand that physicians may have different clinical opinions, and we weren't looking for blind agreement. We were looking for a respectful discussion and shared decision-making. Instead, we left feeling rushed, invalidated, and discouraged. Watching my wife walk out of that appointment feeling like her concerns and history… weren't worthy of consideration was incredibly difficult. Compassion, listening, and respect matter just as much as clinical expertise. Unfortunately, those were the qualities we felt were missing during this visit. We will be requesting not to see Dr. Dombrowski again.
