Dr. Michael James Downie, MD

I took my son to see Dr. Bownie in 2014. He needed jaw surgery. The supposed to be free consultation was not free. We had to pay something like $200 ( forgot the exact amount). The doctor promised that he do every thing possible to help my son through. If the insurance denies, there should be other alternatives. But after receiving letter from HeatthPartners that my son'e needed jaw surgery would not be covered, Dr. Downie just ignored the issue, no longer contacting us, either phone or letter. The phone listed on the clinic's website was a central number that I could not get through after my trials. I dropped in person to set an appointment but the lady at front desk was unfriendly. I was able to set an appointment and called later to see if this appointment would be free since we have paid for one consultation already. I was told that it will be $75.00 What a cheater! This clinic does not care about the patients. It just wants your money. That's it! My advice to anyone seek… help is that you should find another doctor and another clinic.
