Dr. Michael G Dragon, DDS

Four years ago when I first started going to see Dr. Dragon my mouth had been neglected for a long time. In order to get to the plaque under my gum I had to have my mouth but to sleep and cleaned. Both visits went well and they were very careful to be as gentle as they could. Dr. Dragon explained what the neglect had done and why I now had gum disease. He came up with a plan that we have been following ever since and my gum disease has improved tremendously. I no longer feel like my teeth are going to fall out. Nice tight gums:) Once during the 4 years I called in with an emergency tooth ache. Dr Dragon saw me right away and it turned out I had a bad sinus infection. He started me on antibiotics and got me on tract in no time. So, if you want a dentist that truly cares about you and has always comes in with a smile on his face I would highly recommend Dr. Dragon.

I went to see Dr Dragon because one of my front crowns came off from a previous dentist shaving my tooth too short for my crown to fit properly. He gave me three options to choose from, a partial that would be removable, a dental implant, or a bridge. We discussed all three options and I figured the bridge would be the most cost effective route for me. Even though it was still out of my price range at the moment, I knew what I was going to be looking at. When I got home my grandmother called to see how my appointment went and when I told her she said to ask him about a post. She said she had the same thing happen to her and her dentist put a post in her tooth to extend it and it’s been there for 40 years. I told her he didn’t offer that, but I’d ask him and see what he says. When I went back, he wasn’t there. I saw another dentist, I can’t remember his name but he was friendly. I explained I was wanting to see about the option of a post as well and get a price on it and see if it could… be another option for me. He said ok. Nothing out of the ordinary during that appointment, I thought it went fine. My next appointment, I am now seeing Dr Dragon again. He comes in and says “So you want a price on a post???” with a kind of sarcastic tone. I told him I was wanting to see what the price was to compare and see about that being an option. He then starts to be very rude and condescending for the remainder of my appointment. Telling me that “That’s not a good option, but if you want a price I’ll get you a price!” Then he tells one of the ladies that works there to “Get her a price!” But then in the next breath he tells me he isn’t going to do it. So then why give me a price if you’re not willing to do it? So then he makes another remark saying “You DEMANDED a price for a post, I’ll give you one!” I said “Hold on, I didn’t demand anything, I asked about how much it was and if it could be an option.” And he said that wasn’t what he was told. So because someone in his office decided to misinform him of what I asked or how I inquired of a procedure, he decided it would be ok to be rude and condescending to a patient? Then he tells me, because I was clearly upset, “ I know you’re upset because I won’t do the post...” NO!!!! I wasn’t upset because he wouldn’t do the post, I was upset because he got his panties in a bunch. Whether it was because I simply inquired about a procedure he didn’t originally recommend or someone in his office giving him misinformation, his attitude was very unprofessional. All Dr Dragon had to do was simply say why he didn’t feel it would be a good fit for me. But he didn’t do that, he chose to be rude, sarcastic and condescending which was not necessary AT ALL. So needless to say I never stepped foot in his office again and his office lost 6 patients that day. I know it probably won’t make a difference to them, but I wouldn’t give that man $1 to fix anything in my mouth after that last appointment. So anyone going to him, just be mindful about asking about any procedures outside of what he recommends because he doesn’t seem to like that too much.
