Dr. Durbin graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.S. in Biology, Honors in 1984. He earned his D.D.S. degree with Honors from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1988 and earned both his Masters of Science in Orthodontics and his certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1990. He has been in private practice in orthodontics since 1990, when he purchased the practice of Dr. Bernard Schneider. Dr. Durbin became board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics in 2001. Dr. Durbin is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, and Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Durbin has been very involved with both the national and local dental societies and has served as a Director on the Board of Directors of the …Chicago Dental Society and as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees for the Illinois State Dental Society.
Locally, Dr. Durbin has been a member of the Des Plaines Lions Club since 1991 and has served 2 terms as the President of the club. He has also been involved with coaching of his son's athletic teams.
Dr. Durbin is married to Dr. Renee Pappas and they have 2 children, Kristen and Peter. In his free time, Dr. Durbin enjoys snowmobiling, boating, and spending time with his family.
