Dr. Michael Andrew Flaherty, MD

I had a good experience with this Dr. Had to get an MRI and found out I had SLAP and Bankart tears along with detached Bicep tendon. He was very good communicating about the entire process. Did exactly what I was told and was back to normal in about 6 weeks after surgery. I would recommend him to anyone.

If you just want an opinion and not surgery don't waste your time. He's not interested. He just wanted to rush me into xrays after talking to me for 2 minutes. He told me that MRI's are no good for showing arthritis - even though I had xrays already that showed no arthritis and the MRI did. He treated me like I was wasting his time. All I wanted was an opinion and an MRI of my other joints to see if I had soft tissue damage like I do on my hips. But I left with nothing - waste of time. Makes me sad that Dr's aren't caring and compassionate. I understand he's a "surgeon" but he's also a Doctor and doctors are suppose to want to help people however they can...

If you are fortunate enough to have him as your So Doctor, you will be so pleased & grateful!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He repaired my left knee. I have a 5 previous surgeries by other doctors. He was extremely professional, he beyond exceeded my expectations. I was prepared for a similar experience to my past surgical experiences. He was totally different. I am grateful & lucky to have had him as my Doctor!!!

I started off really liking this doctor, he was able to diagnose what was wrong with me. For surgery done. Still in pain on a daily basis. He told me he had no idea why I was in pain still. Went for a second opinion to find out I needed second surgery to correct the first surgery that was done.

Dr. Flaherty is so kind and personable. He really made me feel comfortable, and didn't rush the appointment. I had to get a shot in my knee and I'm a whimp so I asked for extra freeze spray and he happily obliged me. I highly recommend him!

This guy is a complete and total quack. Does not get back to you regarding critical information. Will let you suffer and doesn't care. Doesn't know what he is doing and could possibly harm you due to his negligence. I saw him for months and he didn't give a crap about how much pain I was in. He is only looking to do surgery so he can line his own pockets, regardless of how much it makes the patient suffer. I saw a different doctor who got me fixed up in a couple of weeks with no surgery and that doctor really cared about his patients. Unless you are a masochist, do not see this doctor under any circumstances.
