Dr. Michael John Flintrop, MD

I have had chronic Lung problems my whole life. I was referred to this doctor when I was having a particularly bad flare up. Initially, I thought his office practices were weird but overlooked them. I later came to decide this is the worse Doctor I have ever seen in any field of medicine. I feel ignored to the point of my health being in serious jeopardy. I am now seeing a new Pulmonologist who has done more to treat my medical issues in a short period of time than He ever did over two years. Shameful the way this practice is run. Doors closed to patients even after all my other doctors offices had seen me in person. His office does not return calls in a timely manner or at all. Treatment plan does not change even if it is not working. Many other peoples reviews have described accurately what goes on in this practice and why people are unhappy here. No need to write it all again. Just read the other negative reviews. Most of what people are complaining about happened to me too. It… was time to move on.

I am not sure what kind of a specialist refuses to see a patient in person for months and months even though that patient is getting seriously sicker... but this man has. Dentist offices are open and operating despite COVID yet this specialist is still video conferencing patients??? And then he proceeded to give my grandmother a cancer diagnosis over the phone after he called earlier in the day last minute to cancel the initial video conference. What kind of compassion and bedside manner do you have to give such a diagnosis via phone? And then...after giving the prognosis he proceeds to tell her "it doesnt look good". Talk about crushing someone in an 8 minute phone call and taking away every ounce of hope. This is the kind of Doctor and person this man is.

He was my pulmonologist several years ago for a very severe case of pulmonary fibrosis caused by radiation/chemo treatments.He was very arrogant and unattentive. He ignored the fact I was extremely tacacardic for an entire summer due to the high dose of steroids he put me on and instead of seeing me told me to just keep taking them after I repeatedly called.I ended up with stage 3 heart failure and now have a team of Drs at Mayo clinic.Thank God I found them or I fear I would not be here.Dont be afraid to question your Dr and if he's rude and arrogant find a better Dr.

After having had my first interaction with Dr Flintrop I was reassured and felt as though I was in the hands of a competent and trustworthy professional. I’ve decided to continue to see him for my pulmonary care going forward.

Just left this office. My dad was the patient. Nurse proceeded to do a test that we already did in the hospital and that sent my dad into a coughing fit. I told her he couldn’t do it, but she did it regardless. Had to run out and grab oxygen for my father. Then we met the doctor. Never introduced himself or even said hello. Rude, arrogant and bad mouthed my dad’s general physician. I agree with others. Run from this office. We will not be returning.

All was ok for the first five or so years. When new receptionist came into Fayetteville office, I experienced rudeness, long waits, criticism of another specialist (and that from Dr. F.). In addition, my insurance was billed on 2 separate occasions with duplicate charges; I was charged for an "unkept" appointment while I was hospitalized. There are several other Pulmonologists in the area who would never subject a patient to such ****

sadly no real compassion, relief or follow up. I must seek help from another.

Very attentive, professional and caring staff along with excellent Dr's and Nps.

Dr. Mike is more worried about his wife's money than his practice. Find another doctor

I have never been to a specialist in my life that would not come into the room to discuss my cat scan his assistant kept leaving the room to see what he wanted to do ....I don't spend my money and time to talk to someone else plus he didn't agree what the cat scan determined when I had a copy of the scan which determined that I had a very active Sarcoidoius not sure of the spelling doesn't matter it is a disease of the Lung but I got no response from him. I will never recommend him to any one . He has just given me a bad taste in my mouth . I hope I will be able to find one that really cares about their patients!!!!!
