Dr. Michael Lawrence Fox, DO

He is an absolutely awful "Dr." and every single staff member is the most rude and condescending group of people one could run into. The office is a shit hole. So completely disgusting.

I met Dr. FOX when I went to Trinity Hospital in Livonia. I had no friends and no family but I checked in ER to get into the mental health program and get help Detoxing from Crystal Meth. Dr. Fox at first did his "quid pro quo" firing questions to try and get as much info as quick as he could and although this method; it seems to alot of patients his methods seems cold, incompassionate and as if he is zipping through your life so fast your head starts to spin I will tell you right now as a 51 year old heroin, and meth addiction along with all pharmaceuticals I could find this Man came and checked on me every day I was in the the hospital unable to make it to the mental health program due to my failing, kidneys, heart and internal blood loss. He would say to me everyday I was in their alone and scared of dying; "did you know your the most important person in here?" Almost every day he continued for 6 days to check on me and remind me I was important. Who does that, honestly? Dr. FOX may… come off in a different manner but it doesn't mean he deserves the horrible 1star reviews so many have left here. DONT LEAVE BEFORE THE MIRACLE HAPPENS FOLKS, AND IM AN ATHEIST. HE HELPED GIVE ME HOPE TO SURVIVE AND KEEP GOING AND NOW IM A PATIENT OF HIS, AND PROUD TO OF FOUND A DOCTOR WITHOUT SUGAR COATED YOU KNOW WHAT. THIS DR. IS TRUE, HONEST AND AS REAL (MATTER OF FACT) AS THEY COME. I RESPECT AND APRECIATE HIS CARE!

Today I got a bill for $450.00 from this "doctor." I was in the hospital after a work injury which had absolutely nothing to do with substance abuse. Today I received a bill for $450 form him. I have reported him to the workman's compensation carrier . I have reported him for insurance fraud to the workman's comp. carrier, and to the hospital he is based out of.

He is an evil little man who will be investigated by the feds, just like Daniel Snyder/ He is running a racket for his own enrichment.

After watching This is Life w/Lisa Ling on CNN about the severity of Benzodiazepines, it just reconfirmed my belief that I was given the absolute wrong and dangerous treatment for Benzo withdrawal. And to think that he has the backing of a reputable hospital behind him, only perpetuates his ignorance and monetary gain.

If you like to wait an hour for 2 minutes of his time this doc might be for you.A legal drug dealer that over books. He also has a nice car

I sincerely hope this Dr has learned to educate him self atleast a little. I ended up at his office by mistake (yes, seriously). Instead of acknowledging that he knew nothing about my disease (I have a degenerative neuromuscular disease), he insisted I had diabetes (nope, I don't, thanks) and would not listen to a single word I had to say, not look at my diagnostics or well, anything. He talked over me and insisted I was wrong the entire appt. In case he actually reads this - please research CMT type 3 so that maybe in the future, if you have another patient like me, you won't make such a fool of yourself telling someone that their issue is diabetes when they infact have a genetic disease and even brought a copy of their genetic report with them that very clearly explained it. Or perhaps take 3 minutes to read papers your patients bring in. You said it was "above your head" when if you had bothered to look at it, it was in very simple English that even my 8 year old can comprehend.

Dr. Fox has to be the most unprofessional Dr. I have ever dealt with!!! Please do not let this man belittle you and make your self-worth plummet, we might be addicts but we matter, go to someone else that sees more than your addiction and the money the are going to make off of you.. There are Doctors who will treat you properly just be honest with them, there is no excuse for the way this man treats people

Fox is the most evil man. I refuse to call him a dr. His office is filthy. They put lies about you on your med records. He was hateful,condescending and a liar. I wish I’d never seen him. Don’t ever go there.

Dr. Fox is NOT a horrible Doctor, he is a FAIR Doctor! The reason he is rated poorly is because he doesn't tell you what YOU want to hear, he calls it like he sees it. Dr. Fox I'm sure in his career has encountered some of the biggest bull%&iters so he is well aware if your being honest with him or not. If your 100% honest with him, he will do EVERYTHING he can to help you. However if your not 100% honest with him, your wasting his time. Which would make anyone irritated, as I'm sure you can agree! Dr. Fox is a fantastic Doctor. I'd rather have a doctor that's direct with me opposed to those that beat around the "issue".
