Dr. Michael Alistair Frais, MD

Dr. Frais was fabulous. He is so professional, yet very approachable. He really listen's to what you are saying and then acts accordingly. I was very pleased with my appointment with Dr. Frais. Dr. Frais left the room for a moment and my husband and I both turned to each and at the same time said "I really like him."

Had chest pains.Was referred to hospital by General Practitioner for observation and stress test the next A.M. Dr. Frais (whom I did not know) came into my room that evening and said he had looked at my chart and I needed an angiogram. I told him I would wait till the a.m. to see my Dr. He stated that in my condition I might not make it through the night. Of course, I agreed to the procedure. Was awake during the procedure (pretty cool). He stated everything looked good and he was withdrawing the catheter. Next I know, a tech is yelling and pushes the Dr. out of the way. Starts giving me CPR. Then another one hits me with the paddles. (Now that really hurt.) I passed out from the pain of the paddles. Next thing I know, I am fighting through a fog trying to wake up. The nurse tells me they had lost me for about 5 minutes and had to shock me 5 times and give me a shot to get me back. Had the 3rd degree burns on my chest to prove it. Could actually count the paddle marks. Dr, Frais, who… had been out telling my wife there were some problems, came in and told me when he was withdrawing he hit the SA node which caused my heart to stop beating. Next A.M. my GP told em Frais was not supposed to perform the angiogram and he had no records or documentation to justify going it. (Turns out the chest pains were just indigestion) Never saw Frais again. No room visit, no folow up appointments, nothing. Which was fine by me. When I requested my records of the procedure from Frais' office. They stated the procedure was just getting started and I had an allergic reaction to the dye.Have heard many similiar stories.
