Dr. Michael Henry Frankel, MD

I've been a patient of Dr. Frankel 42years. I have a strong family history of colon cancer. He is very approachable, friendly and thorough. He has helped quit smoking, encouraged me to follow a healthy diet, listens to my concerns and addresses them. I recently had a colonoscopy--in addition to speaking to me after the procedure, he sent me a detailed follow-up letter. I'm blessed and grateful for his caring, dedication, and professionalism.

I recently had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Frankel. He and all of his office staff are very kind, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. During the entire process I never felt like just a number. And Dr. Frankel sends the best follow up letter I have ever seen. Thank you!

My name is Josh and Dr. Michael H. Frankel is a living super hero, fantastic human being and incredibly gifted physician. I was on a work trip in India when I got severe stomach pain in my lower right abdomen. After several tests and a night in the hospital, it was determined I had appendicitis and needed to have emergency surgery to get my appendix removed. The surgery went well and I was in the hospital recovering for about 4 days, but that’s not the point of the story. The point of the story is that Dr. Michael H. Frankel made himself available to me, 24/7, the whole time I was in the hospital, as well as during my recovery back at home once I left India. Whether I had a question about my condition, the surgery, or even if I just wanted his confirmation on how the hospital in India was treating me, he allowed me to contact him no matter what. I woke him up multiple times during the middle of the night due to the drastic time difference. Regardless of it being super early… in the morning, he still answered his phone and gave me his undivided attention/expert opinion as the hospital in India was giving me information on my condition. He even went as far to get on the phone with my doctor in India to ask him some questions and make sure that I was in good hands. Being alone in another country with a medical emergency can be very scary at times, but having Dr. Frankel a phone call away made all the difference when it came to my comfort level and staying clam. I can’t recommend Dr. Frankel enough. He’s an incredibly caring individual that is also extremely talented in his profession. If you’re looking for a Gastroenterologist in the greater Cleveland area, this is the only guy you should be making an appointment with. He really cares about his patients and helping them get better.

I have seen many gastroentreologists over the past five years in many major teaching hospitals and institutions and no one could figure out the answers to my problems. They thought I was anxious and depressed and had an irritable bowel. I was referred to Dr. Frankel by many friends who thought he was the finest doctor they had the priveldge to meet. Dr. Frankel took his time to question me and examine me thouroghly like no other doctor had and at the end of the first visit told me what he thought my problems were and outlined a diagnostic approach. He was right on all accounts and has restored my health and my life. He returns my calls and has helped me through the long process of getting better. I highly recommend him when all others have failed.

I would recommend anyone and everyone to see Dr. Frankel. I even fly in from Florida to see him. Dr. Frankel is the most intelligent doctor that truly cares about his patients. No matter how old you are or how young, Dr. Frankel always takes the time to listen to your problems. There is never a feeling that his rushing you out. MICHAEL FRANKEL IS ONLY KNOWN BY NAME.HIS EXPERTISE IS THE TITLE.HOW UNPROFESSIONAL TO MAKE A FISH STATEMENT TO A 29 YEAR PATIENT & TELL THIS PATIENT TO GO TO A PSYCHIATRIST.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & WRONG DIAGNOSIS.THIS PATIENT IS NOT OLD.I DO NOT CARE WHEN I READ FRANKEL IS GREAT,[IF ALL PATIENTS ONLY KNEW].I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL PEOPLE FRANKEL IS NOT WHAT YOU ALL OR HIMSELF THINKS HE IS.HE HAS A MEDICAL ASSISTANT WHO NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE NOR PHONES A PATIENT BACK IN TIME OF NEED NEITHER DOES FRANKEL.THIS PRACTICE LACKS SKILL.TAKE IT FROM A NO LONGER LONG TIME PATIENT.AFTER 29 YEARS IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE IN A DIFFERENT ENVIORMENT WITH A NEW PHYSICIAN.

I"VE BEEN A PATIENT SINCE 1982.IT IS NOW 2011.I SEE A MAJOR CHANGE SINCE HE MOVED HIS PRACTICE TO 3700 PARK EAST,IN BEACHWOOD AND IT IS NOT GOOD.MEDICAL ASSISTANT WHO NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE& BEING DR.FRANKEL HIRED HIS OWN STAFF,HIS PRACTICE IS GOING DOWN HILL.I AM ONLY SPEAKING FOR MYSELF.SEVERAL TIMES AFTER HOURS THERE HAS BEEN NO OPERATOR ON CALL.HE TRIES TO TREAT ME AS A NUMBER & THATS WHEN I ADDRESS HIM.I AM A HUMAN BEING & I KNOW HE LOVES THE MONEY HE RECEIVED FROM ME & MY FAMILY OVER THE YEARS.DR.FRANKEL IS NOT THE SAME PHYSICIAN AS HE WAS GOING ON 29 YEARS WITH HIM. HIS PRACTICE IS VERY DOWNGRADED BECAUSE OF THE STAFF HE HIRED. HE GOT WHAT HE IS PAYING FOR. ONCE AGAIN I SPEAK FOR MYSELF & FAMILY. Dr. Frankel is a wonderful doctor. He is excellent at diagnosising and treating. I highly recommend him. Dr. Frankel has supported my family through many diffcult illnesses.
