Dr. Michael Alan Frost, DDS

Dr. Michael A. Frost I grew up in Calais, Maine.  Having graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1973 with a degree in Pharmacy, I then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, and graduated in 1976 with a DMD degree.  Following graduation, I elected to do a one year general practice residency at Boston City Hospital. My wife Barbara and I moved to Cumberland and opened our family practice in 1978.  Our three children, Kimberly, Lindsey, and Gregory all attended and graduated from the Greely School System. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and biking with my camera always at my side.  Family is very important and we always look forward to the times when we can be together.  My philosophy for my dental practice is to provide every patient with a complete, comprehensive diagnosis of their dental needs. This may require the assistance of one of the many excellent dental specialists in the area.  I believe when each individual has a complete understanding …of their dental needs, they can then make the choice that best suits their circumstances.  As a member of the Casco Bay Study Club whose philosophy, like mine, is that through an interdisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment, the patient can receive the most comprehensive and complete treatment possible. I still find dentistry today as enjoyable and fascinating as I did over 30 years ago, when we first opened our office in Cumberland.  I attend almost 100 hours of continuing dental education a year to stay up to date with the information and procedures that are currently available to the dental practitioner.
