Dr Michael Daniel Funderburk

Dr Michael Funderburk is the best medical practitioner I have ever been a patient of in my 63 years. He is thorough, professional, and approachable. His office always returns my calls. I, too, had the green light laser procedure performed and had no complications from it.

Er sent me to Dr. Funderburk. Went in told me my left kidney wasn't functioning and it needed to be removed. No surgery scheduled nothing for pain. Spoke with nurse who was supposed to be emailing Dr. Funderburk. No response for 2 weeks. Call again yesterday no call back. No way I could refer or recommended him to anyone. Next step is writing a complaint to medical board

I underwent prostate surgery using the green wave laser procedure. Dr. Funderburk did not even check on me the day of the surgery after I woke up. The next day when I had an office visit, he did not examine me-this was done by office staff. I ended up having complications with a prolonged healing process with months of bleeding. He blamed me for doing too much, but I followed his instructions. I finally went to another urologist who did extensive testing. He informed me that I would heal in time, which I did after more than 3 months. Unfortunately, I am still experiencing some urinary problems and may need additional surgery.
