Dr. Michael Shane Gainey, MD

Dr. Michael Gainey is very close buddies and friends with the Psychiatrist: Dr. Ankur Saraiya.  Out of Dr. Ankur Saraiya's houses in Cornelius, North Carolina and New York City, New York is where unfortunate things happen.

A Warren County doctor, whose license was revoked in 2008, faces up to a year in prison after pleading guilty in federal court in Cincinnati to failing to pay the IRS more than $218,000 in taxes. Dr. Michael Gainey, 60, of Hamilton Township also could be fined up to $100,000 when sentenced by Magistrate Judge Stephanie Bowman of the U.S. District Court for Southern Ohio. A sentencing date hasn’t been scheduled yet, and Gainey remains free on bond.

He thought my husband was faking pain because he wanted to not work.

I've been in and out of the Cynthiana er over the past 15 years or so, anytime he is the doctor, we leave and go to Georgetown. He is very rude, has misdiagnosed myself, my husband and my children. He sent my 4 month old baby home with a "cold", we left and drove an hour and 15 minutes to Edgewood saint Elizabeth, where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and sent to children's with a low oxygen intake. My husband went to see him for sleep apnia and neck pain (from a car wreck) when he got insurance with his new job (first time seeing a doctor in 5 years), not exactly sure what all was discussed, but I know it was confusing, Gainey put him off of work and prescribed him a sleep aid for insomnia and one for anxiety (not even mentioned in the discussion). My husband stayed off work for 3 days until the next appointment Gainey scheduled with him, when he went to that appointment my husband said he needed to be released for work because he was on new hire probation and was worried he'd be… fired, he also told him he needed a copy of the excuse for the 3 days he had to miss, Gainey asked him why he wasn't going to work and then asked why he was on anxiety medicine. He wouldn't give him an excuse and my husband was fired, Gainey also advised him to stop taking the anxiety medicine that HE PRESCRIBED 3 DAYS EARLIER. The dude is a quack and I wouldn't advise anyone to go to him, if you're not literally dying, just go elsewhere.

I have a problem w/ my potassium getting too low!! So I went to the er, he said it wasn't low enough, but gave me one potassium pill. Said If I wasn't any better by Sunday night to come back. I wasn't so I did! He came in & very rudely asked me why was I back there. I told him very rudely, that he had told me to come back if I wasn't any better. I left there & went to another er,, they admitted me,,, diognosses:: severely low potassium!! I'll never go c him again!! I advise no one else to either!!!!

Google his name. He has had his license suspended in Kentucky and Ohio (Ohio is a permanent revocation) He had inappropriate sexual contact with a patient and prescribed pain meds like candy. He is a dangerous quack md and should be removed from any medical practice.

DO NOT see this Doctor if you can help it !!!! He was sooooo rude, misdiagnosed the patient and she died a few hours later. Just horrible that her last few hours on earth was being treated so VERY badly by this do called doctor....

I used to see Dr. Gainey and unless you are are single or a young, pretty female, he could care less. Numerous times he made comments about my sex life and suggested that I give my husband more oral sex, the more you feed into his inappropriate conversations, the longer the time he will spend with you. So unprofessional, not to mention disgusting coming from a so called doctor. Numerous people have filed complaints against him for such matters and yet Harrison Memorial continues to "side" with him. He will not hesitate to write scripts for pain medicine, etc for the females who will accept his advances, however if you do not, he will tell you he cannot help you. This man is a pervert who should have never have been able to practice medicine. When you genuinely have need for a narcotic medication, he treats you as if you are simply a drug seeker. But those who are well known drug seekers in that small town, get whatever prescription they want from him. The man is absolutely disgusting.… Do NOT go to him!!!

MAKING APPOINTMENT IS VERY EASY ,NURSES ARE FRIENDLY BUT DR GAINEY IS RUDE .HIS OFFICE MADE A MISTAKE IN SCHEDULING MY HUSBAND TO THE WRONG SPECIALIST AND WHEN WE WENT BACK TO DR GAINEY HE ACTED LIKE WE CHOSE ANOTHER DR OVER HIM AND WHEN I WOULD ASK A QUESTION ABOUT WHAT WE NEED TO DO HE KEPT SAYING ITS NOT MY PROBLEM YOU WENT ELSEWHERE CALL THEM . IF YOU NEED THIS TEST GET YOUR PRECERT AND CALL HOSPITAL SCHEDULING OR LET OTHER DR SCHEDULE YOU SINCE YOU WENT THERE .ALTHOUGH WE KEPT EXPLAINING THAT HIS OFFICE SENT US THERE .HE KEPT SAYING NOT MY PROBLEM.HE IS RUDE
