Dr. Michael Joseph Gardner, MD

First let me start by saying I have been a patient of Dr. Gardner’s for over 30 years I have never had a problem with the doctors the physicians assistant nor the nurses everybody is very friendly and very nice except for maybe one nurse that open the door and let me in to the office for my visit. She did not greet me she just said my name I walk-through not hi how are you she said you want to be weighed and I said no thank you she brought me to a room and we had a very short chitchat and then I waited for it. But before that I went to the window and was greeted by a woman she handed me the tablet to fill out my information and she was chewing gum which number one turn me off OK I filled out the tablet returned to the window and she had her back to me and she was chitchatting with another girl in the office facing me so they continued their chitchat in the girl that was facing me just continue talking about she lived off exit 10 and I just stood there for about a half a minute and I… said excuse me I’m done so she turned around and she took the tablet OK so then I went into the room I came back out I talk with the physician assistant had my appointment and when I got back to the desk I asked if I could use The bathroom and she said absolutely. So when I came out of the bathroom I went up to the desk to be checked out and she turned around and she was also chewing gum but she was clicking it how unprofessional in a patient’s face very unfriendly never been treated like that before at Dr. Gardner‘s office and it might be my prescription and said here’s your prescription since you don’t want to get blood drawn here and I said but I thought I had to fast and so she talk to somebody else in the office and she said oh yeah so here. But my point was no thank you know have a nice day nothing I’ve never been treated so rudely By the office help at Dr. Gardner’s office like I said I love Dr. Gardner he takes all the time in the world with you and so do a Richard Clark Or Christina . I almost don’t want to go back for my follow up visit but I hope this review helps Dr. Gardner or whoever does the hiring to try to correct how these women treat patients because if they treated me that way I don’t know how they treat other people.I have seen other reviews but in my opinion there’s room for improvement. I so miss seeing Claire was so wonderful for so many years at the front desk. I just have a thing about gum chewing on peoples faces I think it’s One of the most unprofessional and rudest things you can do to people especially if it’s a doctors office dentist office etc. etc. When I came out from my office visit my husband was waiting for me and after I told him about what it happened he said well you should’ve been out in the waiting room because this this woman came charging out of the room from where the blood has been drawn and she kind of went into the office and was arguing with the people at the desk because they had so many people waiting for blood and they were so backed up really is that necessary for a patient or anybody to sit there and listen to. Let’s try and get some professionalism Back in this office. After all isn’t that why they are there to serve the public? I do want to eat a reading to this review not because of the service that I received from the physicians assistant nor the doctor it’s because of the front end and I wanna make that clear.

Last physical was in 2015. Dr. Gardner said I was very healthy so I was in no rush to schedule another one. Fast forward to 2019 and I tried calling to schedule but they said it's been too long and the only time he will see a "new" patient is @ 1pm. I'm not a new patient and can't make it in the middle of the day like that, and they weren't willing to make any sort of exception. So now I guess I have to find a new doctor? Not happy.

The doctor always greets me and asks how I am doing before he gets down to business. He is an active listener who lets me tell my story without cutting me off. He makes certain I know the diagnosis and plan and walks me to the front to make sure things get done promptly.

Been a patient for 25 years. Always took my medical issues seriously. Worked with me to come to diagnosis that finally explained my mysterious symptoms and never dismissed my medical complaints. Seen other medical staff (doctors, PAs, NP), all very competent. The office has always been helpful and friendly.

I SPENT 20 MINUTES ON HOLD WAITING FOR A PRESCRIPTION REFILL AND NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE. SINCE I WAS GOING OUT OF TOWN I DROVE FROM CLIFTON PARK TO ALBANY TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE SO I COULD BE SURE THE PRESCRIPTION WAS CALLED IN. AFTER SPEAKING WITH SOMEONE I WAS TOLD THE PRESCRIPTION WOULD BE CALLED IN WITHAN APOLOGY GIVEN. TODAY I WENT TO THE PHARMACY TO PICK UP MY PRESCRIPTION ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WAS NEVER CALLED IN. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN. PLAYING WITH SOMEONES MEDS IS UNACCEPTABLE. COMPASIONATELY THE PHARMACY GAVE ME A 7 DAY SUPPLY OF MY DRUG SO I COULD GO OUT OF TOWN. THAT IS TRUE AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOUR SAD OFFICE COULD TAKE A LESSON FROM THE PHARMACY... SHAME ON YOU!!!

Excellent Doctor. He really cares about his patients. It is a pleasure going to his office.

Dr Gardner is not just a quick processor who can easily listen and then pinpoint what needs to be addressed (as well as an appropriate action plan), he is caring, empathetic, and solution focused. He is one of the best doctors I have ever been to (and there are a lot of them).

Dr. Gardner is a very caring, knowledgeable physician. He takes the time to talk with you and never makes one feel rushed, All in all, outstanding.

Today was my first visit and I found you, Dr. Cardner, and your staff, to be professional, friendly, and caring. I feel good with the choice I made to have you as I primary care physician. I will recommend you to friends and family.
