Dr. Michael Erik Gilbert, MD

This an addendum to the review I wrote yesterday. When I went to see Dr. Gilbert for the first surgery, after flushing out the infection the mold caused, he also surgically opened that side of my nose, because "I have a very small nose," he said. He did this to help eliminate future infections to give my nose more internal space to help my system to fight off anything infection that might drift by. I was so very thankful he did that as a foresight....and as a word of positive testimony, I haven't had any further infections of any sort in my nose for these eleven yrs. I have always had sinus infections but none since that initial first surgery. He is a smart, creative, innovative doctor and surgeon.

Second time I have gone to see Dr. Gilbert about issues with my nose...the first time was eleven yrs ago. I had had some mold jump into my electric toothbrush and grow into my maxillary gland in my rt cheek; I was very sick ....he cleaned it all out including photos of the inside of the area and I was so grateful....then when I was having nosebleeds that were hard to stop, I made another appt to see him today....He deadened both nostrils and then swabbed up the left nostril with a substance that cauterize the large blood vessels that were bleeding frequently and with gusto. It was a painless procedure and I could leave and drive home safely w/o worrying about my nose bleeding. Dr. Gilbert is knowledgeable, professional and thorough in his dealings w me and I would recommend him highly. He really cares!

Really nice guy, spends time listening to patients. Its good to make him laugh. We have been seeing him for years and there just aren't enough people practicing medicine like him anymore.
