Dr. Michael William Gilliland, MD

I saw Dr. Gilliland for some hopeful pain relief a fter suffering a severe lower back injury. Even though he performed a good exam his style was condescending and he berated every doctor I recently saw for my problem. I had heard that he was a shot jockey and he lived up to that as he took me for a typical pain management predisscribed injection free for all. He totally disregarded my mechanism of injury and for a supposed brilliant man he couldn't even open his mind to my real problem. My experience with him was an unfortunate waste of time, effort, and money. I had much better luck with an osteopath who actually listened to me.

Be prepared to sign your house over to them. The receptionist/Billing communication is non existent. Make sure you get an estimate from them prior to any procedure. I wouldnt recommend them to my enemy's. The procedure gave me about three months worth of relief. For three years worth of billing heartache.

My headaches were incorrectly diagnosed by my neurologist. I spent so many years taking medications that didnâ??t help for so-called migraines and I was still having severe pain. One doctor told me â??itâ??s all in your headâ??! I finally heard about Dr. Gilliland and his procedures have made me pain-free. Itâ??s so awesome to finally be free of my headaches and neck pain! Iâ??m never going to a neurologist again. Iâ??ve even told my boss about Dr Gilliland. I feel safe, confident and secure with Dr Gilliland and his professional courteous staff. Finally, I can enjoy the simple things again, now that the pain is gone.

My experience was that when his procedures didn't work, and in fact caused more pain, his personality seriously changed. Expect Dr. Jekyl AND Mr Hyde

Seems they are more interested in making money than helping patients. Doctor doesn't follow up much. Really hard time making appointments with unhelpful receptionist.

I'm a welder. If I can't work, my kids don't eat. Thanks to Dr Gilliland, I can keep working and I'm still going strong. My kids have plenty on the table at dinnertime.... Thank you, Dr G.

Go see Dr G! After being passed around Portland and Vancouver like a blob on a conveyor belt, I finally found someone who listened, treated, and succeeded in stopping my pain! I was so fed up I was thinking bad thoughts until I saw Dr G. Dr G is brilliant, professional, and very skilled, yet he does not put on an attitude and explains very scientific, medical details in words I understand. Im amazed how a guy at this IQ level has such genuine compassion. Now I am living again with quality and comfort in my life. His nurse is darling & supremely professional at the same time both she & Dr G treated me courteously, carefully, & respectfully - like a precious present. His front office lady is very efficient and gives accurate information. Even my husband loves Dr G, for all he has done for me! We are both so grateful.

1) I was left exposed with the door open, 2) He was rude, and in my opinion more concerned about his own status rather than my recovery I would not go back.

Dr. Gilliand was excellent as a doctor but promises the moon in regard to what insurance will cover and my insurance didn't cover my procedure and my husband was laid off work, we couldn't afford the out of pocket costs but the doctor didn't care, cuz then he put a lien on our property after I spent a year begging him to resubmit his claim and to add the additional information my insurance wanted but they wouldn't even call me back and NEVER worked with the ins. company.So when we had to put our home on short-sale the "doctor" made sure he got HIS money.So if Dr. Gilliand PROMISES that the insurance company will cover the procedure make sure you get it in writing from the doctor with a part that says if insurance won't cover that you don't have to pay or else you're screwed!!!!
