Dr. Gitlin and his staff are the best. You will not get a better doctor for mood disorders in america. I have been under his care for a long time and am very grateful. I owe everything to him and his staff for a fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment of my disorder. They are great.

Dr. Gitlin prescribed Paxil and SWORE it was not addictive. I was put on Ultram, which I ran by him, and he also added Trazodone. These are all serotonergic. I went into Serotonin Syndrome, and almost died of serotonin poisoning. When I called to tell him, he said, "If you had serotonin toxicity," you'd be dead and banged down the receiver. I WAS almost dead. When, I went cold-turkey off the Paxil, I had to call him after 11 days of unbelievable suffering, and a loss of 14 pounds. His response was, "You can't cold-turkey on Paxil. That's the most addictive drug there is!"
