Dr. Gitzen is a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities. He grew up in West St. Paul and attended high school at St. ThomasAcademy. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of St. Thomas in biology, where he played on the basketball team and was a four-year starter, captain and MVP. He went on to dental school at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1986.
After graduation, Dr. Gitzen joined a group dental practice in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he worked from 1986 through 1992. In 1993, he came onboard with Interlachen Dental Associates as an associate and in 2000, he became the owner.
Dr. Gitzen is committed to …full-service family dentistry. He works with patients of all ages requiring a vast array of dental care. He keeps up on the latest techniques by attending continuing dental education programs, and takes pride in running a practice that ensures clinical excellence in a comfortable, clean environment.
When Dr. Gitzen is not practicing dentistry, he happily spends time with his family, his wife Lora and three children, Steven, Danielle and Luke. He also enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, reading, boating, golfing, biking and participating in and watching sporting events.
