Dr. Michael Givens JR., MD

Dr. Givens is one of the most caring and EMPATHIC people I know! I am a fanatic about information being withheld from me and a dr., or ANY medical staff lying to me for whatever reason. Dr. Givens was honest right from the beginning - there's always a chance a problem can't be totally "fixed" but it's the 'trying' that means something. He closely listens to what you say, looks at what you show him, just takes what time is needed for both patient AND dr. Yet his office visits do not run overly long. When he was treating my pain for example, he sat and discussed my options with myself and my husband, after doing all thats necessary to pinpoint the pain's trigger. Dr. Givens was usually spot on too! He had helped me so much, but he's no longer with the practice I go to, as my husband & I were told he was home spending time with his newest family member. I see an N.P. now and she's good and does what she can. But I do miss Dr. Givens ... his kind & gentle manner with patients and our… treatments, whether it be about medicine, surgical, or just plain diet (some foods make pain worse!) & exercise, is top notch. Among doctors, he is a very rare 'polished' gem found in the middle of some pretty "rough & raw" stones!!
